Why do you want to study in the UK?

Answer: I want to study in the UK because -


● The education system of the UK is popular globally.
● Almost all the Universities of the UK can provide international standard
education.
● The academic standards and quality of learning of UK universities are assessed
by the Quality assurance agency (QAA)
● The medium of study is English. So I can develop my English language skills and
other professional skills as well.
● According to the latest Destination of Leavers from Higher Education Survey, on
average more than 90% of graduates are in work after six month of their
graduation.
● Courses are tailored for the needs of today’s business climate and taught by the
industrial expert.
● According to the QS World University Rankings of 2020, the UK has 12
universities with a 5- star rating.
● Over 88% of international graduates are satisfied with their UK learning
experience, which is a very good percentage.
● Also the UK is a multicultural country, which will help me to know the people of
diverse cultures. Because of this I want to study in the UK.

What other countries did you consider? / Have you considered any other
country?

Answer: Yes, apart from the UK, I have considered 2 other countries: the USA, Canada.
But while searching about these countries I found that
● The living costs and tuition fees are lower in the UK compared to the USA and
Canada.
● In Canada I have considered two other universities in Ontario. One is the University of
Toronto where the tuition fees is $ 28,000 CAD per year and the Carleton University
where tuition fees is $28,183.00 CAD per year.
● The length of UK university courses is shorter compared to the USA and Canada. It
takes 2 years in those countries to complete two complete postgraduate courses. But in
the UK it takes only 1 years.
● In the US, merit scholarship opportunities are lesser as compared to the cost of study.
Moreover, some extra requirements of GRE or GMAT may be needed in the US. But in
the UK there is no such extra requirement.

The UK is the most preferable country for international students for business courses.
As, London is known for its business premier center.
● Also the weather of the UK is more comfortable than other countries. It has mild
weather. So I can study there comfortably. Comparing all these things, I have decided to
study in the UK.

Answer: University of West of Scotland is one of the top most universities that is
situated in London, UK. The University of the West of Scotland is among the country's
largest modern universities. Times Higher Education (THE) ranks it among the top 600
universities in the world in their World University Rankings 2020.
1. The University is 1688 in world ranking and 88 in National Ranking.
2. UWS was ranked 1st in the UK for Teacher Education (Guardian University
Guide rankings 2020).

activities.
4. The teaching staff have national and international experience, where I will be
learning and shaping for professional activity.

What is the facility of the university?


Answer: The University of West of Scotland is filled with numerous facilities and
options, particularly international students.
UWS campus’s well-equipped teaching spaces.Students can adapt to it for collaborative
group work.
The campus’s social spaces and Student Union provide the ideal spots for you to relax
between studies.
Students are also able to borrow or use books and journals at other university libraries
in London through our SCONUL (Society of College, National and University Libraries)
membership.
Which other universities have you considered apart from the University of Scotland?
Answer: Yes, I have considered 2 other universities. I considered the University of
Bedfordshire, Middlesex University before finalizing the University of west of scotland.
Middlesex university ranks 107 in University League Tables 2022. The student
satisfaction is 79%, and the graduate prospect is only 59%. It is way below UWS.

University of Bedfordshire is ranked at the bottom which is 130. The student


satisfaction rate is 79% and there is no research quality mentioned for it. Whereas UWS
research quality is 59%. The graduate prospect of University of Bedfordshire is 66%.
Moreover, UWS ranks 103 in University League Tables 2022. It has 81% student
satisfaction and 70% graduate prospect.

Considering all these facts, I chose the University of West Scotland.

Why this particular course?

Answer: I choose MBA with leadership as this course will help me to get my desired
job. Presently, I am working as a Sales Executive in All in one cosmetics Shop from
2019. However, to go further in my career field I need to do a masters degree, and MBA
with leadership will fulfill all my criteria. As I want to be a Marketing Manager this
degree will help me to meet all the criteria.

From this course I will learn some of the modules like Leading and Managing Business,
Professional Management Skills, Creative Business Advantage which will help me to
build my skills and knowledge about business, policies, strategies, techniques and the
usage of other business related staff.

What is your career plan?

Answer: After completing my masters degree, I would like to return back to my country
and start my career as a Marketing Manager in any of the reputed companies.
Responsibilities of a marketing manager:

● Work with top management.

● Evaluate the Product.
● Launch new products or services.
● Select the Channels of Distribution.
● Create a market plan.

At dissertation stage there are also two modules from where I can select one,

How will your course help you in your career goal?

Answer: I will have a substantial exposure in the field of business. An International


degree will build the necessary skills that I need for my career growth. Exposure to
theoretical understanding, program structure and multicultural mash-up allow me to
think from a fresh perspective.

This particular course will help me to prepare for the world of work by developing the
skills in key areas such as communication, time management, problem solving and
teamwork. There are some particular modules which will directly help me in my career
goal such as the module Leading and Managing Business, Creative business
Advantage and other modules which will build my skills in business awareness,
proactive and logical thinking, and research and analysis and practical experience
management decisions on a local and global scale.

Moreover, In Bangladesh, people having a European degree get the most preference in
senior positions in reputed companies. I will be an asset to any organisation after I
complete my graduation.

Where will you be taking your accommodation?

Answer: I will take private accommodation.
