Nastya: But firstly let`s have a small talk. Tell me if you could write a book, what
would it be about?

Artamon: It would be about my daily life, about some silly misunderstandings and
other little things, basically, an autobiography plus comedy I guess. Something like
Richard Feynman's book "Surely you're joking, Mr. Feynman".

Katya: If I could write a book, it would be about someone`s adventures or fiction


because I`m very keen on fantasizing and making up stories. Moreover, sci-fiction
and adventure stories were my favorite styles in the childhood.

Valery: I think it would be a novel in the style of the 16th century, some kind of
romantic story with sumptuous banquets, beautiful dresses and court etiquette.
Such novels perfectly combine the love line and the complex historical events of
those times.

Nastya: Oh, I think it would be incredibly fascinating stories! I have another one
curious question for you. If you could transform into any animal, what would it be?

Artamon: It would be a domestic cat. I'd like to live a life without any worries and
responsibilities.

Katya: I completely agree with Artyom! If I could be an animal, I would be a cat


too, because I really enjoy their lifestyle when you can just eat and sleep and
everyone will adore you because of this.

Valery: I would like to be a koala, the most passive way of life, you sit on a tree,
eat, sleep, do not touch anyone and are not a potential victim for predators.Just
chill out !

Nastya: Oh, I think that a lazy and peaceful life is a common dream of every team
member! Now we will turn to the important issue of our company. As you can see,
the financial results of our concierge company have significantly decreased. In
your opinion, what are the biggest problems of our company?

Artamon: In my opinion, the biggest problem of our company is the lack of


experience and knowledge in the field plus not enough skilled workers in the
company to overcome this.
Katya: I think that there are two biggest problems in our company. Firstly, the
lack of reliable service suppliers contacts, for example, airlines, flower shops,
event planners etc. Secondly, our crew is unprepared to improvise in unusual
situations.

Valery: Now, with the wrong choice of the target audience and pricing policy, our
company may be left without demand and fail at the very beginning of its
formation.

Nastya: To sum up, we have three substantial problems. Firstly, the lack of
experience, knowledge and ability to improvise in the field. Secondly, the lack of
reliable service suppliers contacts. Thirdly, target audience and pricing policy are
defined incorrectly. Now we should think of possible solution of these problems. In
your opinion, how should we solve the problem of the lack of experience,
knowledge and ability to improvise?

Artamon: I think we can hire a consulting adviser to cover our lack of experience
and knowledge. It is a temporary measure - we can't rely on advisers every time
and we need to find a permanent solution. But we can use it for some time while
we work on implementing another solution.

Katya: In my opinion, it can be solved by conducting conversations with staff,


providing a pattern for various situations, and also letting the crew know that they
will receive support or tips from superiors if it`s needed.

Valery: I believe that in order to develop the entire team should take courses and
webinars. After time, once a quarter, the entire team should improve their skills by
taking courses.

Nastya: To sum up, you have offered such solutions for the problem of the lack of
experience, knowledge and ability to improvise: to hire a consulting adviser, to
conduct conversations, provide a support for our staff and taking courses for staff.
In my opinion, the best proposed solution for our staff will be taking some
professional courses for them because it will be less costly but quite effective

Artamon: We should analyze the local service market and try to find the most
qualified service suppliers among them. At the start, because we don't have enough
information about reliability. We can use a diversification strategy: equally divide
the work for 5 or more suppliers. This way, if we find out that one of the suppliers
is unreliable - we will be able to stop cooperation with him immediately without
taking too high risks.

Katya: I think that this problem can be solved by purchasing service supplier base.
Valery: To find and establish contacts with good suppliers, we can contact a
consulting company, I think they can analyze the market and connect us with the
top suppliers. We will spend some money for the consultant, but we can avoid
cooperation with bad suppliers and conflicts with clients.

Artamon: We have to establish a marketing department and find qualified people


for this kind of issues. If we can't even manage to define target audience right, our
company is in a desperate need for marketing specialists.

Katya: In my opinion it can be solved by launching a well-thought-out advertising


campaign that will be aimed at identifying and solving the needs of each client, as
well as by hiring staff that will carry out the work effectively.

Valery: To determine the target audience we need to create a customer profile and
build our marketing strategy so that it attracts people who match the profile of the
client. We will set prices depending on the target audience and their level of life.

Nastya: To sum up, you have offered such solutions for the problem of incorrectly
