I was having trouble finding a subject for this week’s column. Years ago, I was starting a new job and
didn’t have a way of getting to work easily. I tried taking the bus. My brother, whose passion is
kayaking, belongs to a kayaking club. Living through dangerous experiences has made them close.
We both love being listened to by our friends and relatives. Our having gone through difficult
experiences has bonded us for life.

There are sometimes good reasons to postpone things. To procrastinate is a tough nut to crack. It is
literally to put things of until tomorrow. Now what causes people to procrastinate? Procrastinators
want to live up to other people’s expectations. They’re afraid to fail. They don’t want to be rejected.
Sara had this problem. she hoped to have fixed her trouble by the end of last year, but she is still
trying.
