1. The main parts of the any building are known to construction as sub-structures and
superstructures.

2. In building, as mentioned above, sub-structures are the parts of the building project that
are found below the ground level. Sub-structures are also known as the anchors or
stabilisers in any building, their job is to create a strong support for the superstructure as
well as distribute load forces securely from the superstructure to the ground or its base.
The sub-structure component in buildings are the foundations and footings.

Superstructures are parts of building that given the building its body and height and can
be seen from the columns, beams, doors, windows, flooring, roofing and walls.
Superstructures basically give the building structure and ensures that the body of the
building is upright and stable against loads and weathering.
