DEFINITION OF TERMS IN WORK IMMERSION

The objective of having a work immersion among students is to  provide students “real workplace” experience, giving
students a set of technical-vocational and livelihood skills that can help them make more informed career choices and improve
their employment prospects.

As provided for in the labor advisory, the work immersion of SHS students shall be allowed only between 8:00 in the
morning until 5:00 in the afternoon.

WORK IMMERSION refers to the subject of Senior High School Curriculum, which involves hands-on experience or work
simulation in which learners can apply their competencies and acquired knowledge relevant to your track.

PARTNERSHIP Refers to the relationship between the partner institution and the school, or any office of DepEd .

SCHOOL PARTNERSHIP FOCAL PERSON The person who is authorized to seek partnerships between DepEd and
Institutions.

PARTNER INSTITUTIONS are public or private institutions or organizations that are able and willing to lend their expertise
and resources.

MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT is a legally binding document which spells out the specific terms and conditions
between and among parties entering into a partnership to implement a program.

WORK IMMERSION TEACHER The school personnel who is assigned to supervise the learners at the Work Immersion
venue.

WORK IMMERSION PARTNER INSTITUTION SUPERVISOR Serves as the counterpart of the Work Immersion Teacher

DAILY TIME RECORD (DTR) is the process of monitoring and organizing time information.

APPLICATION LETTER – A letter of application, also known as a cover letter, is a document sent with your resume to
provide additional information on your skills and experience.

- A letter of application typically provides detailed information on why you are qualified for the job you are applying for.
Effective application letters explain the reasons for your interest in the specific organization and identify your most
relevant skills or experiences.

NARRATIVE REPORT is the learner’s written descriptions of current learner performance that provide useful information to
support the educational growth of each learner, since they document achievement on agreed upon essential standards.

RESUME - also referred to as CURRICULUM VITAE, is a document summarizing a person's professional and academic
background, relevant skills, and accomplishments. It's usually used to introduce yourself and present your qualifications to a
prospective employer when applying for a job.

ENDORESEMENT LETTER This document listed the names of the students who will undergo work immersion program in a
company.

80 HOURS is the minimum requirement to complete the work immersion program.

WORK IMMERSION PORTFOLIO It is where the list of tasks/activities of the students is presented.

CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION - This document is the basis of student’s completion of the work immersion training in
the partner company.

FIVE (5) - The numerical point earned of the student in the evaluation form if he meets the expectations of the supervisor.
