Day 14 (September 30, 2021)

September 30, 2021 – Thursday

Grade 4 – Faith
The Grade 4 – Faith had their opening with Teacher Judy. She asked someone o
lead the prayer in the class and encouraged the class to greet each other. She also
facilitated a review in spelling and after that, she announced that they will be having the
awarding after their class.
On the first subject, Teacher Jhamina asked the students if they remember what
they tackled in their previous meeting. She asked them to give examples of the different
tenses. When there are students who are not listening, she asks them to sit properly
and to face their screens. When they were done discussing, she directed the student to
answer their activity in the book. After they finished answering, Teacher Jhamina asks
the students to show their books on the screen so she could take a picture.
The grade 4 students had their quiz on science. Teacher Krystel reviewed the
students first before she starts flashing the questionnaire. After that, she asked the
students to copy the table she was flashing on the screen and then explained to them
how to answer it. She then gave them 10 minutes to answer the quiz. For the
assignment, she divided the students into the topics they will search individually to
complete the diagram.
Teacher Pauline gave more practice to the grade 4 students so they master the
lesson is adding similar fractions. When she made sure that all the students can now
follow, she carried on to their new lesson about adding dissimilar fractions. She showed
again how the students can solve and gave them the practice to do it by themselves.
She also answers the student’s questions if they were having a hard time solving them.
In the Values subject, Teacher Krystel was the one who discussed in the class.
Their topic was based on a bible verse from proverbs and is about God does not favor
people who lies. Teacher Krystel showed the verse to the class asked them what they
can say about it. After getting the ideas from the students, she elaborates on the topic
and discussed the value of being an honest person.
On the last subject, some students were losing focus so Teacher Leah called the
attention of the class and asked them to sit properly. After a series of reviews about the
last lesson, she continued the discussion and gave examples to the students. She uses
her PowerPoint to show how she was able to determine what are the adjectives and
how they are used in the sentence.
After all their classes, the Grade 4 students had their awarding. They awarded
the students with honors, with high honors, and with highest honors and gave special
awards like the punctuality award.
Grade 1 – Patience
Teacher Pauline did the opening for the Grade 1 pupils. Same as yesterday, they
had their review in spelling in preparation for the Spelling bee next week. She also
reminded the pupils about their subject to prepare for this day and announced that they
will be having the awarding after their classes.
On their PE subject, Teacher Joy asked the pupils to give examples about the
topic they discussed at the last meeting. The teacher then led the students to do the
actions flashed on her presentation. After that, she played music as she and the
students do the actions they mentioned.
In Filipino class, Teacher Judy read a poem about the family. After reading, she
asked questions about it and calls the pupils randomly. She first asks LOTS questions
and carries on to HOTS questions. When they finished the discussion, Teacher Judy
called pupils who will read aloud each stanza in the poem.
Grade 1 – Patience’s next subject was ESP. Teacher Pauline told the pupils to
open their open on a certain page and had a quick review of the story and discussion
they had at the last meeting. She then related to the real situation and aligned to what
the pupils should do if they were in that situation. When a pupil chatted with her, she
mentioned him and told him not to chat about inappropriate things. After their
discussion, she led the class to answer the activity in the book and assisted them if the
class was having a hard time understanding the instructions. Since the class finished
early, Teacher Pauline played a video about a bible story.
In their last subject, Science, the grade 1 pupils took their quiz. Another teacher
facilitated the quiz and enabled focus mode in zoom meetings. During answering, the
teacher will read the questions to pupils and lets them choose their answers by
themselves.
After the quiz, the Grade 1 pupils were asked to wait for their adviser for their
awarding.
