Aim:
To compare the oxalic acid
content in various tea samples
Materials required:
1: 5g of different tea samples
2: calcium carbonate
3: filter paper, funnel
4: beaker, tripod stand,
Bunsen burner
5: wire gauge, chemical
balance

Procedure:
1: Take 5g of 1st tea sample
2: Take 100ml of distilled water in a beaker

3: put the leaves in beaker and

boil for 10 minutes
4: filter above boiled solution
using filter paper into another
beaker
5: Then add 2ml of caco3 and
boil
6: filter again in another one
there will be a ppt of calcium
oxalate. keep it for drying
7: weight the calcium oxalate
