1. PREWRITING
Brainstorming ideas. Write a topic sentence for three world problems. Below is a list of
some problems you can use.

1- Ideas to reduce global warming


2- Things that Government can do to stop crime
3- Growing up in poverty

Now choose one of your topic sentences to write about. One the space provided below;
generate an idea you could use to support the topic.

Children who were born and raised in poverty, grow up in a place surrounded by poverty can affect their
physical and mental growth because they don’t receive enough food, don’t go to school, lack access to
health and get illnesses for the environment that they live in.

2.WRITING.Choose one (or more) world problems that worry you. On a separate sheet of
paper, write a paragraph describing your outlook and attitude about the problem using, your
notes. Use the writing models in exercise C on page 12 in the student’s book as an example.

Crime

I’m worry about crime because I feel insecurity when I go out to somewhere and thinking if
someone is going to steal my stuffs worries me a lot so, I try not to carry expensive stuffs
with me , I know that I can avoid this kind of problem.
