    Dear Fifth Grade Parents/Guardians,

    As we prepare for our 2021-2022 school year, I am excited to inform you that Mrs. Malaika
    Burnell will begin the year as our 5th grade teacher while we continue our search for a
    permanent teacher in this classroom. Mrs. Burnell is excited to be kicking off this school year in
    our 5th grade classroom!

    Mrs. Burnell has served as a teacher in our English Language Learner department at Achieve
    since 2016 and has enjoyed serving our students in this role. She has also taught our middle
    school community service elective during this time. Please join me in welcoming Mrs. Burnell to
    our 5th grade team.
