UNIT 5: NATURAL WONDERS OF VIET NAM


SKILLS 1: Reading and Speaking (1 period)
I. Objectives
After the lesson, students are able to
1. Knowledge:
- Recognise some natural wonders of Vietnam through their pictures
- List/Describe some special features of these places
2. Competences:
- Identify general and specific information in the text about natural wonders in Vietnam.
- Talk about one of Vietnam’s natural wonders, using topic-related words and phrases
- Find and select information to introduce a natural wonder
- Actively listen and respond in pair work, and group work and receive feedback from others after their own
sharing/presentation
3. Attributes:
Express their love for the country through some activities such as:
- widening their knowledge of natural wonders through reading news and books, etc.
- having the desire to discover new places
- participating in extracurricular activities to introduce the natural wonders of Vietnam to the world

- Textbook: Page 54
- Pictures of natural wonders in Vietnam
- Projector, Slides, Handouts

- To create a relaxing learning environment

- To lead into the new lesson (Reading + Speaking)
