Some fantastic ideas and skills we have learned and practice

this month:

Being back in the classroom again has been quite exciting. The
students had a good time in class and are glad to see their friends
again. At the moment, our efforts are focused at getting first-
graders ready for the classroom. So far, working with kids has
been an exciting journey, and we've really enjoyed contributing to
their development and assisting them in expanding their horizons.
For our math lessons, we have been reading, spelling, and
counting from 1 to 19 in order to build our mathematical
knowledge. Comparing and contrasting two-dimensional forms by
highlighting their shared and unique features. Our study of
science includes instruction on both the responsible use and
preservation of the world's natural resources. The lessons on
reduce, reuse, and recycling are popular with the students. The
usage of disposable things and other threats to the environment
will be addressed in the future thanks to their efforts, and I have
no doubt that all of them will do something about it. A new unit
on matter was introduced this week. Any substance may be
classified as matter, and there are three distinct types of matter:
solid, liquid, and gas. In LA. This week, we explored the
discovering process via creativity in the elements. They were all
too eager to see what unfolded and give feedback to their
friends. The HFW are learning the alphabet, blending, reading,
and creating sentences.

What Thanh Trung excelled in:

He recognizes the distinction between a side and a corner when doing math. Furthermore, is aware that a
corner and a vertex are the same thing. Counting up to twenty counters in a 10 frame is no problem for
him. He has the ability to write numbers, draw visuals that correspond to numbers, and even illustrate a
number in 10 frames.
When it comes to scientific comparisons, he excels. He is able to pick up items and determine their
similarities and differences based on their color, size, shape, and texture. Also, he can identify the states of
matter with items in the class, and he can sort forms by looking at labels and placing them in the right
basket.
When we ask him questions in class in La, he gets the idea. These include the five W's and how as well as
the when, why, and where. He knows them well enough to use them appropriately whenever they're
called for in a phrase. Many of the HFW he is familiar with include: with, now my, what, where, come, so
many of, soon they, up, and for. Not only is he adept at blending and spelling, but he can also spot the
high-frequency word in a group of words and figure out where it belongs in the phrase. He has excellent
pronunciation. This is especially clear when he is reading aloud.

Practice at home:

Reading, spelling, writing, and sentence formation are all skills that parents may foster in their children.
Thank you for taking the time to practice maths and counting skills, as well as your ability to write the
numbers 1 through 20 correctly. Please keep working on blending CVC words with short a, e, i, o and u
to match phrases containing missing HFW. Practising present tense (happening now) their ordinary
conversational use of past tense (it has already happened) and future tense (it is going to happen) will
improve.

Behavior or something special:

Thanh Trung is still great in class as he strives to try his best and receive many bananas in class. He is
usually raising his hand and making sure he is trying his best to compare answers with his friends. Thanh
Trung should remember to line up nicely in the class and not push in front of others although it is not a
reoccurring issue as most students get confused. Thanh Tung should be more aware of the rules in class as
he has trouble keeping still during lessons and sitting nicely especially during tests. Overall, he’s been very
good this month and progressed well .

Friendly greetings from the Monkey 2 Team
