I. OBJECTIVE:

At the end of the lesson, the students of elementary will be able:

1. Explain the meaning of Disaster Risk

2. Identify the impact of Disaster Risk into the environment

3. Define the two main categories of disaster ( natural and Man-made)

A. Content Standard The students will enhance their skills in understanding

about the importance of studying Disaster Risk and gain
more information on how to prevent the different types
of Disaster.

B. Performance Standard The learners relates the concept of Disaster in our daily
lives

II. Learning Competencies: The learners are able to:

1. Explain the concept of Disaster in DRRM- RA no.

2. Identify the impact and effects of disaster to our

society and environment.

3. Analyze the disaster from different perspective

(physical, psychological, socio- cultural, economic,
political and biological) DRR

4. Identify the areas/location where the disaster

happen

5. Identify the technique to prevent or reduce disaster

risk.

6. To understand why the disaster risk happened to our

society.
