Book project: One of Us is Lying

This 3rd term you have to work on the novel One of Us is Lying by Karen M. McManus. This activity
will be worth 20% of your final grade in the subject. And you will have to submit 3 papers
throughout the term:

Task 1. Read the first part of the novel. Make a brief summary of what this part is about and from
there invent the end of the story. If you have seen the series or have read the whole book you have
to invent a different ending, how you would like it to end. We will not value the real end of the story.
300 words maximum
Deadline 10th. May.

Task 2. Choose one of the four main characters and read all the parts they tell from their point of
view. If you like the book and want to read it in its entirety, you can. Prepare a monologue in which
you recount the most important traits of the character as if you were the character. Record it with
“Audacity”. Hand both the audio and the text to your teacher.
Deadline 7th. June

Task 3. Final project. Option A: choose a scene from the series about the book and act it out with
your classmates. Minimum 2 people/Maximum 5.
Option B: prepare an interview with your classmates. One will be the interviewer and the others
their characters. How credible it is will be valued. Minimum 2 people/Maximum 5.
Deadline last week at school before your assessment session.
