1. What is Engineering Ethics?

 Engineers follow a set of standards and principles as a moral

commitment to their profession and the world. Engineering is a
profession that has a significant influence on people's lives. When
ethics are not followed, disasters frequently occur; these disasters not
only result in significant monetary expenses and environmental
consequences, but they also frequently result in human life loss. Every
engineer must adhere to engineering ethics, which is extremely
essential. Engineers follow a set of standards and principles as a
moral commitment to their profession and the world. Engineering is a
profession that has a significant influence on people's lives.

2. Importance of Engineering Ethics?

 The principles and standards regulating the behavior of engineers in

their professional duties have been identified as engineering ethics.
Codified norms and regulations have their limitations—in some cases,
they have been demonstrated to have internal conflicts, and they
have also been out of date. Because not all engineers are licensed
or members of professional associations that might sanction
unethical activity, they are frequently unenforceable. Engineering
ethics should entail more than a set of rigid guidelines. They must be
seen as a corpus of thought outlining the proper behavior of
engineers in their professional capacities. Ethics is what motivates us
to speak the truth, follow through on our promises, and help those in
need. On a daily basis, we are guided by an ethical framework that
helps us make decisions that have good consequences and steers
us away from unjust results. Through our decisions, ethics helps us to
make the world a better place.
