CHAPTER 4

RESULTS AND DISCUSSION

This chapter presented the results and analysis of the study. The following are the

data obtained which were collected through survey questionnaires.

Table 1.

Profile of the Respondents

Based on the participant’s profile shown in Table 1, it can be inferred that the

majority of participants, 118 (30.97%) are between the ages of 51 and above. One hundred

four (27.30%) are between the ages of 21 and 30, 76 (19.95%) are between the ages of 41

and 50, 44 (11.55%) are between the ages of 20 years old and below, and the least

respondent are between 31-40 years old with a total of 39 (10.23%). The respondents are

split equally between men and women, with 217 men (56.96%) and 164 women (43.04%).

Regarding civil status, there are 286 people who are single (75.07%), 84 people who are

married (22.04%) and 11 (2.89%) who are widowed. The bulk of those with the highest

degree of education are college level, 242 (63.52%), followed by high school graduates,

44 (11.55%), college graduates are 36 (9.45%), then elementary graduates are 18 (4.72%),

and elementary level, 11 (2.89%).

Thus, it may be deduced that the majority of respondents are male, between the

ages of 51 and above, single, and college level. This indicates that any profile of the

respondents' age, sex, civil status, and greatest level of education does not depend on the

assessment when it comes to their anti-illegal drug activity (Pajarillo, Louis, 2018).

Assessment on the Implementation of PNP - Anti-Illegal Drugs Operation through

Reinforcement and Education (ADORE)

The following Table presents theassessment on the implementation of PNP anti-

illegal drugs operation through reinforcement and education (ADORE)in terms of

education and enforcement.

The assement of PNP ADORE in education as reported by the respondents is

shown in Table 2. This demonstrates the efficacy of the education on the assessment of

PNP ADORE, which a resident of Claver, Surigao Del Norte is required to acknowledge

this data. This anchored on a holistic approach highlighted by education-based strategy.

mga resulta).

Overall Response 3.62 0.57 Strongly Agree

From the results, it can be inferred that the repondents’ thinks the indicators under

education is a satisfaction in ADORE which described as Strongly Agree. Further findings

indicated that “PNP of Claver apply the READY program for the nonuser which discuss

about crime prevention and the consequences to the law” got the highest mean = 3.72, SD

of 0.49 and described as Strongly Agree. This justifies the study of Mariano (2020), which

shows that theories of crime prevention have a place in the field of community.

Furthermore, the least item similarly described as strongly agree “when users

turned themselves in, the PNP and LGU took care of them by feeding them and inviting

them to seminars” got a mean=3.52 and SD=0.71. These findings indicated that the

respondents’ acknowledge to support education campaign against illegal drugs. Therefore,

it should be the goal of the government to direct development processes so that citizens

can fulfill these ambitions (Aden, 2021).

The enforcement of assessment by PNP Anti-Illegal Drugs Operation through

Reinforcement and Education (ADORE) is shown in Table 3. The proper execution of the

procedure to ensure adherence to laws, regulations, rules, standards, and social norms is

known as enforcement. This demonstrates the ADORE holistic approach highlighted by

enforcement strategy, which had to be acknowledged by a resident of Claver, Surigao Del

Norte.

Overall Response 3.52 0.65 Strongly Agree

The data from the Table revealed anoverall response with a mean of 3.52and a

standard deviation of 0.65 that was qualitatively characterized as Strongly Agree.

According to additional research, "the Claver PNP conducts a buy-bust operation" had the

highest mean (3.69) and SD (0.60) and was deemed to be Strongly Agree. This only

justifies the study or Aruta (2019), which this is the most effective way for the police to

quickly arrest the criminals.

The least effective item on this indicator is "beginning with the time of the seizure

or forfeiture and ending with the receipts in the forensic laboratory, safekeeping, and

presentation in court for destruction" that identically described as Agree which received a

mean of 3.35 and an SD of 0.77. This implies that renders the evidence inadmissible,

ultimately leading to the accused's acquittal if there isn't enough other evidence to convict

someone (Respi, 2017).

These findings indicated that respondents agree with the assessement of the

implementation of PNP anti-illegal drugs operation through reinforcement and education

(ADORE).

Based on table 5, with the p-value (< 0.05, there is a significant difference;

Implementation of PNP - Anti-Illegal Drugs Operation through Reinforcement and

that the null hyphothesis is accepted. This implies that Assessment on the Implementation

not differ on the respondents’ age. This denotes the study conducted by Cheeta (2018) to

comprehend attitudes about anti-drug implementation in various age groups.
