Part I

Students will view paintings about classroom interiors by Jean Geoffry and recall their own classroom
1
settings. They will then discuss their opinions on wearing uniform to school.

They will discuss the following questions:

Why do we wear uniforms?

How do uniforms keep us safe?

Why are they easy to clean? By Jean Geoffry

Do uniforms make you feel like a team?

Do other people wear uniforms?

Why do chefs, police, astronauts and doctors wear uniform?

What uniform do you wear in summers?

What uniform do you wear in winters?

What do you wear in rainy season?

Where do you buy uniforms?

Who stiches uniforms?

Students will inquire, recall and collaboratively list the steps they think are involved in making their own
uniforms. They will list all the tools needed for stitching and draw scissors, threads, needles, sewing
machines. Next they will draw their uniform and the details on them; shape of shirts, trousers, skirts,
coats, socks, shoes and decorate with buttons, collars, zips, prints, school logo and badges. Students may
keep their own uniform in front of them for reference.
