Geography: The study of the surface of the earth.

The five themes of geography:

1. Location: Describes where something can be found.

2. Place: Describes what a location looks like.
3. Human/ environment interaction : Describes the relationship
between people and the environment in which they live.
4. Movement: Describes how people, goods and ideas move from one
place to another. Movement, refers to transportation and
communication.
5. Region: Areas that share common characteristics.

Human / environment interaction can be good or bad, good just like

plant a tree and bad like causing pollution.

Transportation is the way in which people and goods move from one
place to another.

There are three modes of

transportation:

1- Land transportations like cars,

trains and buses
2- Water transportation like
ships and boats
3- Air transportation like
airplanes and helicopters

Freight ships are special ships that are designed to carry goods across the
ocean.

Communication is how information move through internet

There are three types of regions:

1- Physical regions: share the same climate, animals and plants

like Mediterranean region
2- Economic regions: share the same economic features like
currency, an example is European union sharing euro
3- Cultural regions: share the same religion or language, for
example the Arab world
