a. What’s the “story” behind the business?
Well, my father as a farmer knew what hardships and challenges other farmer have undergone
especially the financial dilemmas, so in order to alleviate some burden of his friends he offers
to be a buyer of a bananas in higher price than the traditional offer of some buyers. The
unexpected booming of the business catapulted to a larger one where my father now extends
to farther banana plantation seeking to buy the product in higher prices to help even in little
ways his fellow farmers and thanks to his charitable attitude we got elevated financially and we
continue to do business while helping those who are in needs.
b. What advantages and disadvantages does the entrepreneur see in owning a business?
The advantage of entrepreneur in owning a business is the satisfaction it gives for achieving
your goal as I remember my father was very continent and happy in doing business with his
fellow farmers as it also helps them financially which is my father’s inspiration in starting the
business. Moreover the advantage of owning a business is that it will a catalyst of
transformation in life as when our business gets bigger our lives improves and also the people
around gets the blessing we get like a growing oasis in a dessert.
The disadvantages of entrepreneur in owning a business is the uncertainty as I remember
before my mother is against the idea of my father as it can disastrous if he fails. Furthermore,
the other disadvantage is managing as a business as its grows more and more and greater man
power requires and some of them are a little corrupt in their works so managing the workers is
often tedious to do.
