Damages to Physical

Environment
 The flood destroyed crops, and inundated farms,
raising concerns about both economic hardship
and widespread famine.
 The intensity of the storm had drastically
damaged the physical geography in the
neighboring zones of the Bay of Bengal. 
 The tidal waves were as high as 25 feet, causing
extreme flooding, which ruined the coastal region
and many agricultural farms.

 Damage on Human
Environment 
 According to the government of bangladesh, it
has been estimated that 789,955 properties has
been destroyed.
 The storm surges swept the villages away. 
 10 million people were without a house after
around 1 million homes were destroyed.

Economy
 Bangladesh suffers annual losses from tropical
cyclones of roughly $1 billion. 
 Climate variability and extreme events may cause
the loss of one-third of agricultural GDP by 2050,
which would be terrible given that agriculture
employs almost half of the nation's workforce. 
 Almost all the industries in the port area of
Chittagong suffered heavy damages.

Impact of the Damaged


Economy
 After the 1991 cyclone tragedy the impact on
Bangladesh was bad.
  Bangladesh has 24.3% of its population was
already suffering from poverty after the cyclone
there were loss of property and human life.
 Bangladesh is an Agro based country and the
farm were ruined which  impacted on the
economy and people of Bangladesh.
