10. Course overview:

This course adopts the modern communicative approach in Teaching English


which tends to develop the students' skills (speaking, reading, and writing) in
their elementary levels and introduces different topics including different
grammatical rules. These rules are presented in a simple way that guarantees
students mastering of them. It also includes some reading passages full of new
terms and words which enrich students' package of vocabulary.
Real Listening and Speaking 3 contains practical tasks to help the students
in everyday listening and speaking situations, e.g. at the shops, in a restaurant
or travelling away from home. It also gives practice in a range of work and
study situations. It is designed to help you with listening and speaking tasks
you will need to do when communicating in English, at home or abroad. The
exercises in each unit help you to develop useful skills, such as listening for
opinions, listening for details and listening or the main idea. There are also lots
of practical speaking strategies and tasks that help the students improve your
ability to communicate, and pronunciation activities too.
The book has 16 units and is divided into two main sections:
• Units 1–8 – social or travel situations
• Units 9–16 – work or study situations
11. Course objective:
The course of communicative aims at developing the students' skills (speaking,
reading, and writing). This happens through introducing some reading
passages full of some advanced terms.
It also aims at providing students with some grammatical rules that, in
turn, enable them to speak grammatically well.
The main of objective of the course:
1. To help students develop listening and speaking skills in accordance
with the ALTE (Association of Language Testers in Europe) can-do
statements. These statements describe what language users can typically
do at different levels and in different contexts. Visit www.alte.org for

2. To encourage autonomous learning by focusing on learner
Training.

Students are required to attend all the classes during the semester with the
following obligations:
1. Students are required to participate in all class activities during the
semester.
2. They should get engaged in both listening and speaking activities
assigned by the lecturer. besides
3. The students should participate in mid and final exams.

Lectures take different forms of teaching including basic classroom


interactions and also using modern technologies such as: data show, lab , and
smart board.

15. Student learning outcome:

The expected outcome of this course is to develop the students' skills


(speaking, reading, and listening). This happens through introducing some

It also is also expected that this course provides students with some
grammatical, pronunciation, and syntactical rules that, in turn, enable them to
speak grammatically well.
The main of objective of the course:
1. Students’ outcomes are shown in the development of listening and
speaking skills in accordance with the ALTE (Association of Language
Testers in Europe) can-do statements. These statements describe what
language users can typically do at different levels and in different
