Every person on the planet has rights. And so, does every child.
Everyone-young or old, regardless of sex, skin, color, language, belief,
social status or place of origin---has RIGHTS. Rights that should be
respected and fulfilled, especially by our government. In fact, according
to the video that in 1924, the League of Nations adapted the first ever
document that asserted children’s rights. It was drafted by Eglantyne
Jebb, who is also the founder of save the children. The in 1989,
members of the United Nations adopted an expanded version of this
document. It was called the Convention on the rights of the Child or UN
CRC.
