1.0 OBJECTIVE
The objective of this method statement is to outline and describe in details the procedure for all
related activity and purposely to inform all party involved the value and importance of this
activity. This activity should be performed with strict compliance and implementation of safety
requirement & procedure and project specification accordingly.

2.0 SCOPE
The scope of this method statement covers in any project that require for using waterproofing
application on the surface related ei; concrete surface or others.

3.0 MATERIALS
 Boscoseal RC2
 Multiprime primer

5.0 PROCEDURE
5.1 Prior to any waterproofing works, the concrete substrate shall be prepared where
cracks, unsound or porous surface, if any shall be treated with appropriate materials
and approved methods (by others).
5.2 Concrete roof slab to be casted to fall.
5.3 Surface must be cleaned from any grease, oil concrete laitance and unsound
materials.
5.4 Form a triangular cement mortar angle fillet at all right angles corner. Allow the
triangular fillet to attain full curve before applying Bostik Boscoseal RC2 waterproofing
coating.
5.5 Prime substrate with Bostik Multiprime at the rate of 5 – 8m2 per litre depend on
substrate condition, prior to Boscoseal RC2 application.
5.6 Stir product to an even smooth consistency before use.
5.7 Apply first neat coat can be applied using brush or roller at the rate of 1 litre/m2. The
application shall be done in a minimum of two (2) layers. Leave 1sst layer to set
between 2-4 hours before applying the 2nd layer.
5.8 Apply final second layer at the rate 1 litre/m2.

6.0 Protection
6.1 The newly waterproofing system must be allowed to cure for a minimum of 24 hours at
25̛ C.
6.2 During the curing time, need to take precaution to protect the waterproofing coating
from any mechanical damage during the construction of other trade of works.

7.0 SAFETY, HEALTH & ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS


7.1 All works shall comply with safety procedure or instruction set out in project safety plan
and municipality rules and regulations.
7.2 Basic PPE to be worn by all staff and labourers.
7.3 Provide sufficient lighting whenever there is night works.
