Evaluate

Both HR and Richter project proved very informative for me and they have increased my

knowledge in HRM. From the Richter project I have learnt the importance of HRM department.

From the interview with the manager of Richter Co I realized the difficulty of not having an

HRM function because the organization (Richter Co) has been continuously expanding its

operations that required recruitment of the efficient people to manage all the operations. But

Richter Co. has no HRM department in place to manage all the HR activities which results in

difficulties in recruitment, selection, training, performance evaluation and performance appraisal

and other functions of the company. I also want to share my negative experience with this

project. As the project required interview with the HR manager of the organization but

unfortunately the company has no HR department therefore they had no HR manager. Currently

an accountant has been working as an HR manager therefore his knowledge about hiring and

managing human resource was quite limited.

HR project also help me to understand the importance of HRM as HRM function helps to gain

the competitive advantage and helps to compete with the competitors in an efficient manner.

From this project I have realized that HR is very crucial for the organization and without having

a proper HR function it would be difficult for the organization to achieve its goals and

objectives. This project made me realized that the organizations that have not considered the

importance of the HRM failed to manage their staff effectively.
