Model Details - Informal

Question

You are going away next month, and you would like a friend to look after
your pet fish and your plants.

Write a letter to your friend. In your letter,

• Say how long you will be away

• Explain what needs to be done
• Tell them how they will be compensated

You do NOT need to write any addresses.

Begin your letter as follows:

Dear...,

I’ll be on holiday for just 1 week from Monday 11 October to Sunday 17

October. Will you be around during this time?

There’s not too much to do. For the two fish, they need one scoop of the fish
food flakes, once a day. The flakes are in the top drawer underneath the fish
tank and the small black scoop is there too. It’s important not to give them
more than this as it is actually bad for them to eat too much. The plants don’t
need water every day, but if you could give them a bit every two or three
days, that’ll be enough to keep them healthy.

If you are able to do this, I can pay you $200 for the week. You’re also very
welcome to help yourself to tea and coffee while you’re there, and of course
to use the TV.
