It’s not enough just to treat women well.

We have to work to make sure that all men treat women well.

- Jeff Bridges

Women's violence has always been a concern. Globally, an estimated 736 million women—nearly one in every
three—have been victims of intimate relationship abuse, non-partner sexual assault. Some may believe that in
order to overcome abuse, women should be tough and simply smile. Some people believe that women should
simply take a stand and report domestic violence as if it were a simple task. This should not be the case, since as
the rate of violence against women rises, we must work together to ensure that those who perpetrate violence are
stopped and taught what is proper.

And as Ms. South Africa 2019, Zozibini Tunzi have said "I think it's time we stopped asking women what to do and
start asking perpetrators to do better, to be better," To begin treating women with the respect that they deserve.
And it is not up to us. It is up to the perpetrators to begin doing the right thing."

People of all ages and genders must learn to treat each other respectfully in order for this to work. And to highlight
that all forms of violence are wrong and should be avoided. When violence looks to do good, it only does so for a
short time; the damage it does is permanent.
