2 Comment on the organization’s approach to managing risks to those working from home.

Answer:
As per the given scenario management of the organization was more inclined toward making
profit and they were not considering health and wellbeing of the workers priority as compared to
other business objectives. Through following facts, we can easily get the idea about positive and
negative approach adopted by the organization related to managing health and safety of the
workers working from home.

 Positive approach is depicted as the documentation related to working from home was
available in organization.
 Sales manager who is the leading the sales team working from home also noticing the
sitting posture of the workers working from home during the meeting and actions were
taken for the workers who are maintaining the poor posture is a positive approach of the
organization.
 Sales manager provided the guidance documents including Workstation assessment
advice to the sale the team depicting the positive approach toward managing health and
safety of the workers.
 Positive health and safety approach is shown as sales manager is conducting one on
one online meeting with all the sale team members regularly to monitor that how they
are working.
 Positive approach is depicted by sales manager as he was conducting whole team
meeting online twice in a week to stay connected with the workers.
 Health and wellbeing of the team is also discussed in online sales team meeting who are
involved in working from home is also showing the positive approach of the
management.
 opportunity provided for the team members to chat with their colleagues and share their
views related to the work from home is also a positive approach the World Health and
safety.
 Talking about the negative aspects of the organizations approach no appropriate training
war provided to the workers to the worker working from the home in order to set up
workstation appropriately at home.
 Negative approach is also shown as no appropriate workstations were provided to work
for work from home.
 No appropriate display screen equipment (DSE) were provided to the workers working
from home showing the negative approach.
 Workers were maintaining poor poster while working on DSE and no appropriate
information and arrangements were made for them showing the negative approach.
 Negative approach of the management is also highlighted as no appropriate risk
assessment for all the workers working from home is conducted.
 Negative approach is shown by the organization as no means were provided to manage
emergency and provide the information to the organization on timely basis while working
at home.
 Negative approach is highlighted as no appropriate arrangements and information is up
provided about work and life balance leading to the dental ill health Including stress and
burnout in the workers due to working from home.
 Negative approach is also depicted as there is no proper arrangement for monitoring
health of workers i.e. health surveillance system
