POSITION Job Title : Engineer / Senior Engineer Assembly process Engineering Function: responsible for the assembly a product in term of cost, quality and process capacity and of the assembly line architecture Location: Bangalore MISSION
Specify the needs of an assembly line: o Definition of line architecture based on lean manufacturing and SPS principles o Work benches definition, characteristic and number o Machines definition, characteristic and number o Necessary machines or workbenches to control a product or a sub-assembly o Capacity of work benches and necessary number of people o Future evolution of the equipment based on quantities forecasted o Draw layout of the process installed in SE factory or at sub-contractor Drives realization of an equipment following SE methodology : o Specify equipments needs and features o Select and assess suppliers together with purchase department o Participate in the choice of the supplier o Follow up, evaluates and validates studies of the supplier o Support supplier o Test externally and internally the equipment o Accept and qualify the equipment Coordinate with assembly engineer and automation engineer Make return on investment analysis to compare different solutions Leads technical trials and tests to validate critical assembly technologies Participate in the installation and setting up of new equipment in the factories Simulates flows and capacities and optimise process yield Support factories for critical issues where assembly is involved Simulates flows and capacities and optimise process yield Strongly influence design and engineering department by proposing solution improving the manufacturability of a product (for OCP products)
PROFILE REQUIRED
Able to support people in methods department in the factories and to give know-how Able to calculate cost and ROI Knowledge in value analysis
2. Required Educational Background & Professional Experience: Mechanical engineering+ minimum 3-5 years professional experience in similar function or methods Good profiles can also be found at Special Purpose Machines manufacturers
