Cloud Computing Research

1. Cloud service providers are companies that offer platforms for cloud computing. These can be
separated into 3 main categories. Software as a service, which is primarily for the users of the
platform. Platform as a service for developers, and infrastructure as a service for those who
design the software, hardware and networking.
2. Platform as a service is a platform that allows customers to operate their own applications
without having to worry about fundamental servers.
3. Cloud computing provides resources from someone else’s data center that are adaptable,
affordable, and allow users to be flexible. For example, small companies with little capital are
able to make creative and variation websites that can measure up to mainstream companies.
This is also a great way to integrate remote jobs into a company.
4. One downside to cloud commuting is needing a constant internet connection.
