2º D ESO – SECOND TERM P.

E NOTES – BREAKFAST IES JAIME FERRÁN

WHY BREAKFAST?

1. Skipping breakfast increases the chance of becoming OBESE, developing

diabetes and having high cholesterol.

2. After fasting for seven hours, we need ENERGY to start our day. You will
be less hungry during the morning and you won’t overeat.

3. It is the key for BETTER school performance. Our neurons need energy
to start working and to do P.E.!

4. Take your TIME; it shouldn’t take you more than 10 minutes to have a
good breakfast. If you don’t feel hungry right after you wake up, split
your breakfast: eat something small before you leave home and have a
small mid-morning snack to have a complete breakfast.

90 minutes after dinner.

6. In the morning, the most important nutrients are: CARBOHYDRATES

(bread, cereals, biscuits); PROTEINS (milk, eggs, ham); VITAMINS
