Final Comments
• OIE plays a key role for Animal Welfare to favor the development of comercial
interchange that includes AW as a requirement for certification.
•At the moment of implementing the regulation, it is important to develop tools to
favour transfer of knowledge, especially in the case of small producers.
•AW has real value in the sustainability of agricultural business and it will
become more common; that is why we, as OIE members, we must analyse the
way in which we make progress in providing the guarantees the world is
demanding.
