    ACTIVITY 1: LET’S TRAVEL THROUGH TIME!

    OBJECTIVES: Readings in Philippine History aims to expose students to different facets


    of our history through the lens of eyewitnesses. Different types of sources will be used –
    written (qualitative and quantitative), oral, visual, audio-visual, digital – covering various
    aspects of Philippine life. In this Activity, we will be focusing on Visual Imagery which is
    viewing historic events through photographs.

    INSTRUCTIONS: Students will look for at least 1-2 old photographs of their family (e.g.
    photos of parents, grandparents, relatives; photos of important events; or anything related
    to the student). Describe what happened in the photographs in 2-3 sentences.

    SUBMISSION AND DEADLINE: Outputs should be submitted on or before 5pm,


    Monday, January 30. A class representative will collate all the outputs and save this in a
    google drive/folder.

    HEADS UP: The instructor will choose at least 3 students to present their output by next
    meeting.

    Your work will be graded using the following criteria:
    Conceptual Grasp 10 pts
    Relevance of the Description 15 pts
    Creativity 5 pts
    Ability to follow instructions 5 pts
    TOTAL 35 pts
