1.1 INTRODUCTION
BLITZ ALVA 500 M has been specially designed for the cutting of aluminium or light alloy profile sections.
HOW IT WORKS:
- When workpiece is laid on worktables, it is clamped by two vices operated by a pneumatic system.
- Two motor-driven blades, operated by PB’s on control board, come out, cut and retract automatically.
- You can cut at 90° trough 22.5° (external).
- After cutting the vice is opened thanks to a pneumatic control allowing the positioning of another section
bar for the following machining.
BLITZ ALVA 500 M can automate to an ever-greater extent its operation according to the several versions
available.

4.1 FOREWORD
Each machine operator should have a perfect knowledge of the location and working operation of all controls
as well as the machine characteristics. It is therefore essential that they read this manual fully. The instruction
manual must furthermore be kept near the machine.
Unauthorised tampering or replacement of machine parts, the use of accessories, tools and consumable
materials other than those recommended by the Manufacturer can lead to accidents for which the
Manufacturer declines responsibility for all penal or civil liabilities.
The BLITZ ALVA 500 M sawing machine has been designed for cutting profiles in aluminium or light alloy.
Any materials other than these are not compatible with the specific machine characteristics.
CAUTION
The machine is not suitable for use in environments where there is the risk of explosion.
All combustible and/or flammable materials should be kept as far away from the machine as possible.
The term “OPERATOR” specifically refers to the person or persons entrusted with installing, operating,
adjusting, carrying out maintenance, cleaning, repairing and handling the machine; “DANGEROUS AREAS”
refers to any area inside and/or near the machine in which the presence of an exposed individual constitutes
a risk to the health and safety of that person; “EXPOSED INDIVIDUAL” refers to any person standing fully
or partially in a dangerous area.
Working conditions
- According to the provisions of “lighting in work areas”, the place where the machine is used must have
no areas in shadow, glaring lights (reflections-reverberation), or dangerous strobe effects caused by the
lighting in the workshop. The selected area must be well lit (minimum 300 lux).
- Furthermore, efficient ventilation must be guaranteed in the workplace with the use of a suitable extraction
system where necessary.
- The areas where the operator works should always be kept clear and clean from any oil residue.
- The machine must be operated by skilled staff only and is designed for machining “NON-TOXIC” “NON
AGGRESSIVE” and “NON EXPLOSIVE” materials; the use of any products other than these absolves
the Manufacturer from any responsibility for damage caused to the machine, persons or property.
- The machine can work at ambient temperatures from 10° to +40°. During storage periods or when the
machine is not working, the ambient temperature must be between -10° and + 60°.
- Before setting to work, the operator must have a perfect knowledge of the location and working operations
of all controls as well as the machine characteristics.
- The machining commands must be given by just one operator; the assistance of more than one operator
is only allowed in the workpiece loading phase.
10

- If long pieces that protrude significantly beyond the machine are machined, the areas must be made off
limits and marked as such (e.g. floor markings) and if necessary access limited by mobile barriers.
- When using any cooling-lubricating liquids (which may contain active chemical additives harmful to
health) the regulations that govern the treatment and disposal must be observed (see the technical safety
sheet enclosed with this manual).
- Routine and periodic maintenance operations must take place with the machine stopped and disconnected
from the mains and pneumatic power supply. To cut off the power supplies to the machine a padlock must
be put on the main switch and the pneumatic supply quick connector has to be detached, or, if present,
fit a padlock to the pneumatic master switch. If the machine is out of service for any reason make this
known by putting up a sign.
- Any work on the pneumatic systems must only be performed after having discharged the pressure inside
the circuit.
- Removal of the safety guards and tampering with the safety devices is absolutely forbidden. Furthermore,
if it is noticed that one or more of the safety devices are not working, the machine must be stopped
immediately.
- It is absolutely forbidden to climb onto the machine to carry out any type of operation when it is being
supplied with electrical and pneumatic power.
- Electrical connections should be made according to the general installation rules for the preparation and
operation of electrical systems.
Operators
- Use only skilled and competent personnel. Establish clearly personnel duties for manoeuvring, setting
up, use, maintenance and repair of the machine.
NOTE: A qualified technician is defined as anyone who has completed a specialised training course
and has experience in the field of installation, putting into service and maintenance of systems.
- The qualified technician must also be familiar with first-aid techniques in the event of accident.
- Staff involved in operating, maintenance, cleaning, inspection etc. will in any case have to carefully
observe the safety rules in force in the country where the machine is to be used.
- All operators should dress in a suitable manner for the work place and for the job to be carried out.
For example: wear clothes that are not too loose (which could be caught in the moving machine parts),
wear safety shoes, gloves and, where necessary, other safety wear such as sound insulating ear plugs,
goggles and a mask.
The machine operator or maintenance technician must not wear neck chains, bracelets or rings, and
long hair should be tied back.

4.5 RISK AND RESIDUAL RISK AREAS - 1
Despite safety guards and devices provided on the machine, some areas can be considered risky any way.
The figure shows the area where control and operation of the machine are made in standard working
conditions.
Such area is riskless and described as “operator’s control area”. As this machine can’t be always fully
controlled by operator due to its dimensions (length from 5765 mm to 7765 mm); it is essential to bound the
area where it stands, despite the safety and warning devices provided.
The area can be bounded in two different ways depending on machine location:
1° - The machine is laid against a wall. In this case a robust barrier, fastened to the floor as shown in figure
04-02, should be provided.
2° - The machine stands far from walls: the barrier should be placed as in Fig. 04-03.
3° - In case BLITZ ALVA is equipped with optional systems such as FIXED HEAD ROLLER TABLE OR
MOVABLE HEAD ROLLER TABLE, or both, the barriers mentioned are to be placed as shown in Fig. 04-
04 and 04-05.

4.6 RISK AND RESIDUAL RISK AREAS - 2
BLITZ ALVA can be supplied (upon request) with 1 belt for carrying away chips and cropends. The belt can
unload into a container (Fig. 04-06) or on a slat conveyor carrying material into a bigger container (Fig. 04-
07). In both cases, the discharge is not a real “RISKY AREA” but if in this area also the “movable head roller
table” is placed (see “RESIDUAL RISKY AREAS -1”) it is advisable to take some measures as described
in the chapter “RESIDUAL RISKY AREAS - CONCLUSIONS”.
04-06
04-07
15
GB BLITZ ALVA 500 M
NOTE: All figures in this chapter show no barrier in the front side of machine, both in the “OPERATOR
’S AREA” and in the “ROLLER TABLES AREA”. This is due to the fact that operator is forced to
handle profile section 6.30 - meter long, therefore the whole area where he operates (ROLLER
TABLES INCLUDED) must be kept free of obstacles in order to make loading operations easier
from both sides.
In addition, a space of at least 1,000 mm should be left free at the RH side of the mobile head
rollerway (see correct positioning on fig. 04-08).
With reference to that previously indicated in paragraphs 4.5 and 4.6, FOM Industrie supplies a “post and
chain barrier kit” with the machine: the assembly and installation instructions for the kit can be found in
the relative instruction manual attached to this publication.

5.4.1 LEVELLING
SWITCH ON THE AIR supply to the machine (see Chap. 7 - ELECTRICAL AND PNEUMATIC CONNECTION)
so that the safety hoods can be raised. Once the hoods are raised, cut off power and air to the machine again.
Use a centesimal spirit level with tolerance of between 0.02 and 0.05 mm per metre. Levelling must take place
crosswise (where maximum precision is required) and lengthwise (where the machine does not need to be
perfectly level but the error should however be constant over the whole of the machine length).
N.B. The spirit level should always be placed on the worktable of the MH.
Rest the machine feet on the ground using the screw adjusters “1” - Fig. 05-08 and with the relative lock
nuts “2” - Fig. 05-08 loose.
STEP 1
Carry out the levelling in a longitudinal direction with the level positioned lengthways on the front guide,
first near to the FH in an intermediate position between the first two feet (Fig. 05-14), then moving the level
to the next intermediate positions between the feet, making sure that the error is constant.
STEP 2
Carry out the levelling in a transversal direction with the level positioned crossways on a ground bar, first
near to the FH (Fig. 05-15) adjusting the left front and rear registers, then moving the bar and level to the
positions above the centre feet (Fig. 05-16) and adjusting the centre front and rear registers, and finally
above the last foot and adjusting the right front and rear registers.
Reposition the level lengthways and then crossways at all the positions described in steps 1 and 2, and
repeat the operations described in steps 1 and 2 to obtain more precise levelling.
Once the levelling operations are complete, tighten all the lock nuts of the foot adjusters (see Fig. 05-08).

5.6 ASSEMBLY AND ALIGNMENT OF THE MOBILE HEAD ROLLER TABLE
Check the vertical alignment of the mobile head roller table with the machine worktable using, for example,
a straight bar and making sure it rests properly on the worktable and on the rollers.
If it does not, by turning the eccentric cam ‘H’ with the Allen key provided, vertically adjust the roller table
to the work table (Fig. 05-24).
At the same time, locking eccentric shaft at the rear with screw ‘L1’, check the alignment of the roller table
on the round guide using screw ‘L2’ (Fig. 05-27).
If the roller table also needs to be aligned horizontally, adjust the 4 grub screws ‘M’ at the rear (Fig. 05-28).
Once the roller table has been fully aligned, use a straight bar to check the alignment of the supplementary
vice table ‘N’ with the other work tables (Fig. 05-29).
If the roller table alignment proves especially difficult, contact FOM service assistance.

ZONE’ (mobile head moving towards the fixed head) and/or to tilt one or both heads
33
GB BLITZ ALVA 500 M
OPERATING NOTE - 1
- The POSITIONING movement of the mobile head to the set measurement when moving away from the
fixed head causes no safety problems (in this phase the 2 lights on the fixed head and on the mobile head
roller table flash and the acoustic-light signal activates on the mobile head).
- The POSITIONINGMOVEMENT of the mobile head to the set measurement when “APPROACHING” the
fixed head can cause safety problems (even though the flashing lights/acoustic signals are working).
- The danger that is presented by AUTOMATIC movement of the mobile head towards the fixed head is
that of BEING CRUSHED between the two heads.
- For this reason the machine has been designed to respond as follows:
1 - If the measurement set is less than (or equal to) 900 mm (which defines the SAFETY ZONE), the mobile
head moves quickly towards the fixed one and “STOPS” at the safety distance.
2 - When the mobile head enters the SAFETY ZONE, the LED on selector “9” - Fig. 06-01 comes on.
3 - By turning (and holding in position) selector “9” - Fig. 06-01 the mobile head approaches the fixed
head and only stops if released or when the final set measurement is reached.
OPERATING NOTE - 2
- TILTING one or both heads to the set measurement, while the mobile head is inside the SAFETY ZONE,
can pose safety risks (despite the fact that the acoustic-light signals are working).
- The danger risk when tilting the heads in AUTOMATIC mode is that of BEING CRUSHED between the
two heads.
- For this reason the machine has been designed to respond as follows: The tilting movement starts at a
“reduced” speed and can be increased to normal speed by turning (and holding in place) selector “9” -
Fig. 06-01: the head or both heads carry out the tilting movement stopping automatically at the final
measurement set. If the selector is released before the final set measurement, tilting of one or both heads
takes place at a “reduced” speed for safety reasons.
N.B. The presence of time-outs necessary for managing head tilting safely (both at normal speed with the
selector pressed and at “reduced” speed) means that, once the head tilting is complete, a few seconds must
be allowed before it is possible to start cutting.
OPERATING NOTE - 3
When POSITIONING the mobile head as well as tilting one or both heads is necessary, the following
situations can occur:
- If tilting one or both heads takes place with the mobile head which, even if initially inside the SAFETY
ZONE, moves away from the fixed head, then the TILTING movement starts at the same time as MH
positioning but at “reduced” speed and can be increased to normal speed by turning (and holding in
position) selector “9” - Fig. 06-01. The POSITIONING movement when moving away however always
takes place at normal speed.
- If tilting one or both heads takes place with the mobile head which, initially being outside the SAFETY
ZONE, moves towards the fixed head with a destination measurement inside the SAFETY ZONE, then
the TILTING movement starts at the same time as positioning the MH but at “reduced” speed and can
be increased to normal speed by turning (and holding in position) selector “9” - Fig. 06-01. The
POSITIONING movement when approaching however always takes place in the same way as described
in NOTE 1.
- If tilting one or both heads takes place with the mobile head which, initially being inside the SAFETY
ZONE,moves towards the fixed head, then both TILTING and POSITIONING movements can be started
by turning (and holding in position) selector “9” - Fig. 06-01. If the selector is released, the TILTING
movement takes place at “reduced” speed; on the contrary, POSITIONING the mobile head only takes
place by turning (and holding in position) selector “9” - Fig. 06-01.

7 ELECTRICAL AND PNEUMATIC CONNECTIONS (FIG. 07-01)
Preliminary operations
To put the machine into service it must first be checked that the mains power supply is efficient, safe and
reliable, protected by an automatic supply line switch and properly earthed. This applies also to the
compressed air supply which must be of sufficient section for the required capacity and a tap (or valve)
so that the supply to the machine can be cut off. If the air distribution line is of considerable length, then
appropriate release barrels must be provided at suitable points to drain off the condensation.
Before carrying out any operations of this sort, make sure that the power supply available is the same as
that required by the machine. Check that the main power switch “A” (400 V – three-phase) is set to position
“0” (zero) and that the pneumatic master switch “A1” is set to “0” (zero).
If machine comes without power supply pilot lights (230 V and 400 V), perform power cables connection
to the relevant pilot lights.
Protect the 400V power lead from current overloads and short circuit with a suitable thermal magnetic
switch.
Protect the 230V power lead from current overloads and short circuit with a suitable thermal magnetic
switch that has a trigger time of = 0.4 sec.
Protect the direct and indirect contacts with a differential that has a differential current I = 0.5 A for the
d
400V three-phase and a differential that has I = 0.03 A for the 230V single phase.
d
The instruction to use a 0.5 A differential for the 400V three-phase derives from the fact that, especially when
the machine is turned on or off, there are spurious currents in the supply line generated by the machine mains
filter in excess of 30 mA and which could also be in addition to other dispersion currents generated by other
machines present in the factory and protected by the same differential switch.
The sections of the machine power leads, which are dependent on the total power absorbed by the machine,
will be established in the technical design stage, as will any supply voltages that differ from the standard
ones provided for.

If the direction of tool rotation is not the same as that indicated by the arrow on the machine, two of the three
poles of the electrical power supply must be inverted.
Insert the incoming air hose (with 12 mm. internal diameter) into the input filter connection “1” and fix it in
place with a metal clip; turn the pneumatic master switch “A1” to position “I” and check on gauge “2” that
the pressure is 7 bar; If it is not, adjust using knob “3” (Fig. 07-02).
This adjustment is necessary because at pressure values lower than 5 BAR a pressure switch is triggered
that stops the machine from working.
N.B. If any pneumatic connections are made other than those provided for by the constructor, an easy
and intuitive type of quick connector must still be used.

9 ADJUSTMENTS
NOTE: Blades feed speed and blades lubrication flow are usually set during pre-sale testing according to
standard values. If any adjustment is needed, act as suggested.
Turning knob “A” clockwise decreases the blade exit speed, while turning knob “A” counter clockwise
increases the blade exit speed, as indicated on plate “A1” affixed at the side.
Regulate the flow by turning knob “B” clockwise to decrease it or counter-clockwise to increase it as shown
on plate “B1” affixed at the side.

9.3 VICE - POSITIONING / ADJUSTMENTS
When positioning the vices the following factors must be taken into consideration:
- Blade exit.
- Diameter and configuration of the profile to be cut (the operation described below)
PLEASE NOTE:
The vices MUST NEVER come within the cutting range of the blades.
External horizontal vice ‘1’ - Fig. 09-02 has horizontal, vertical and angle adjustment.
Internal horizontal vice ‘2’ - Fig. 09-02 has crosswise and vertical adjustment.
Vertical vice ‘3’ - Fig. 09-02 can only be adjusted vertically.
PLEASE NOTE:
When making vertical adjustments to the internal horizontal vice and the corresponding vertical vice, make
sure the 2 vices do not interfere with each other.

HORIZONTAL VICES
Undo release handle “1” - Fig. 09-03 to adjust vertically and to turn the vice cylinder (if it is the external vice).
Undo release handle “2” - Fig. 09-03 to adjust the vice cylinder horizontally.
N.B. Each horizontal vice is fitted with a safety valve defined as the non return valve. If the air pressure in
the circuit fails for any reason, this valve keeps the vices closed.
When the compressed air supply returns all the machine functions are restored.
CAUTION
Before every cutting operation, the profiles must ALWAYS be clamped using the vices on the left and
right of the blade

9.6 CUTTING OPERATION
Please observe the following precautions prior to cutting as this will ensure the best response from the saw.
CHECK
- Start the motors (Give just the impusle - stop them immediately) and check that the rotation of blades
is the right way.
- Check that the blade lubrication is enough, otherwise adjust it according to the instructions mentioned in
the relevant paragraph.
- Check that the profiles do not have evident torsion over their length, that vice clamping tends to straighten.
In fact, the profiles having faulty torsions are visible whenever the vices unlock after the cutting process
and such profiles cannot be used for assembly.
- Check the profile width tolerance because unevenness may cause mistakes in setting length sizes during
90° cuttings.
9.7 BLADE
One last but very important piece of advice on cutting is the choice of blades. The machine is actually
calibrated for a blade thickness of 3 mm. and a tooth thickness of 4 mm.
If these thicknesses are changed, automatically the fulcrum of the heads is altered and therefore the cutting
measurement. Non sharpened blades can also vary the fulcrum of the heads. These points must obviously
therefore be borne in mind.
For these reasons we recommend that only our blades are used as they offer guarantees of quality control,
balance, choice of materials used and design.
Furthermore the use of adapter rings applied to the blade hole is PROHIBITED. Only blades with a hole
diameter as shown on the machine ID plate must be used (Ø 32 mm.)

9.9 PROFILE CLAMPING
After having ensured a correct positiong of jaws, profile clamping is ensured by the correct position of the
vice cylinders.
As on the general drawing (Fig. 09-08), it is to be noted that the vertical and horizontal adjustment of the vices
must be carried out so as to obtain an equal profile clamping, or better, so as to clamp the profile on its most
ribbed points. The profile must always be perfectly square to the work bench and to the jaw.
When the vertical cylinder “A” is used together with the horizontal one “B”, the former should lock just a
second before the latter (See relevant paragraph).
For length sizes over 2 meters, we would suggest the use of the additional intermediate profile support
(OPTIONAL) which prevents profiles from bending downwards and causing calculation mistakes.

9.11 CUTTING OPERATION
Given for granted that all precautions already suggested have been carefully taken:
- place profile on work tables after positioning and locking movable head and tilting heads at required
degrees.
CAUTION:
Use gloves when handling profiles.
- Press “VICES CLAMPING” PB. In this position, vices clamp profile in “low pressure” (~ 0.8 bar) in order
to allow positioning and avoid hands or finger crushing.
If you need to re-position, press “VICES RELEASE” PB.
- Start blade motors (at the same time the warning devices start)
- Press and keep pressed PBs CUT VICES CLAMPING/CUTTING simultaneously to operate blade feed.
- Movable guards lower before blades get out of heads.
When guards are locked (CLOSED), blades get out for cutting.
IMPORTANT: high pressure for vices clamping profile on worktable operate before blades come out.
ATTENTION: cutting operations can be stopped releasing both (or one) CUT VICES CLAMPING and/or
CUTTING PB’S.
Under normal working conditions, after making a cut, when the blades have completely returned to their rest
position, the safety hoods raise and the vices open automatically to allow the cut profile to be unloaded and another
profile put in place for cutting (motors can keep running with warning lights ON or else they can stop and warning
lights turn off).
47
GB BLITZ ALVA 500 M
To measure the profile height with the kit, the probe “A” is brought down onto the profile as shown in Fig.
09-11.
To take the measurement on the fin of the profile, add a supplementary block “B” as shown in Fig. 09-12.
Enabling or disabling the profile height measuring device is carried out via software.

To fit one of the retractable middle profile supports (supplied AS AN OPTIONAL EXTRA) to the machine
proceed as follows (the machine is in any case supplied with the necessary mechanical and pneumatic
connections to allow easy fitting).
Fit the support over the 2 holes on the front of the base using the screws “A” - Fig. 09-13.
Make the pneumatic connection by connecting hose “B” - Fig. 09-13 as shown in the figure.
Adjust, the height of the support, if necessary, using cam “C” - Fig. 09-14.
If necessary, adjust the support horizontally using the 4 grub screws “D” - Fig. 09-13 and screw “E” - Fig.
09-14 making sure that the horizontal roller at rest is parallel with the machine base.
ATTENTION
The LH profile support should be fitted on the first or the second pair of holes on the machine base.
The RH profile support (code PR-24845), only on the 6 m version, should be fitted on the third pair of holes
on the machine base.

The external profile support, on the 4/5m version only, should be fitted outside the machine (see Fig. 09-
16). It can be fitted up to a max. distance of 4 m from the end of the base.
Once the support has been levelled using the 4 grub screws ‘A’ - Fig. 09-16, a check must be made to see
that it is aligned horizontally and vertically with the other profile supports on the machine.
To adjust the height, turn the 4 screws ‘B’ - Fig. 09-16 so that the support can run along extrusion ‘C’ - Fig.
09-16 until it reaches the required position.
Lastly, it must be fixed to the ground by inserting the 2 STOP plugs at points ‘D’ - Fig. 09-16.

10 MAINTENANCE
GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS
Before proceeding in any way, carefully read the instructions contained in this maintenance manual.
WARNING:
Only skilled personnel are to be employed for these operations.
- All maintenance operations are to be carried out with machine power off, both electrically and pneumati-
cally.
- When the equipment is under tension, some components may result to be dangerous.
- Improper observance of the safety instructions regarding the use of this equipment can cause damage to
persons and things.
- It is therefore important that instructions and warnings herein contained in chapter 10.1 of this maintenance
manual be fully respected.
- Once maintenance operations have been carried out and before turning on the machine, check that:
1 - components eventually replaced and/or equipment employed for maintenance operations have been
removed from the machine.
2 - all safety devices are efficient.
- Check on gauge “B” - Fig. 10-01B the incoming air pressure level.
- Check through slit “C” - Fig. 10-01B for any condensation in the cup. If there is condensation in the
cup, press nozzle “D” - Fig. 10-01B upwards until it is drained (this operation must be carried out
without disconnecting the BLITZ ALVA machine from the air supply). The condensation is in any case
drained automatically (with the ring open) each time the air supply hose is disconnected.
- Using the compressed air gun supplied if necessary, clean all traces of dust or chips from the work
contact surfaces.
CAUTION
Protective eye goggles and a face mask must be worn whenever the compressed air gun is used; make sure
also that there is no one in the area where cleaning is taking place.
- Keep the area around the machine clear of offcuts, chips and all other machining residue.

10.3 FITTING A NEW BLADE
The saw blade should be changed when it is noticed that the cutting quality is not optimal because of wear
or because some teeth are broken. To do this carry out the following procedure.
1) Wear gloves. Position the head of the BLITZ ALVA to 45° externally.
2) Turn the pneumatic disconnecting switch to “0” and secure it with a padlock, then open the main switch
locking it in place with a padlock.
WARNING - IMPORTANT
After switching off the compressed air supply, wait at least 10 sec. before cutting off power to the
machine, to make sure, for safety reasons, that the blades have stopped completely in braked mode
(with a time of less than 10 sec.). Otherwise, if this rule is not followed, when power to the machine
is cut off, it will be necessary to wait at least 3 min. before gaining access to the blade.
3) With the Allen key provided, remove the screws “C” that secure the head safety guard. (Fig. 10-03)
4) With an Allen key, undo safety screw “E” - Fig. 10-04.
5) Using an Allen key and a hammer (Fig. 10-05), remove nut “F” - Fig. 10-06.

10.5 FITTING NEW SOLENOID VALVES (FIG. 10-14)
The need to fit a new solenoid valve may arise each time one of the electro-pneumatically governed operations
cannot be performed; for example, closing the vices, blade exit, etc.
In this case substitute the relevant solenoid valve by the following procedure:
1) Turn the pneumatic master switch to “0” and open the main switch, securing it in that position with a
padlock.
2) Open the bottom door in the cabinet or go to the rear of the MH (depending on which solenoid valve needs
to be replaced).
3) Disconnect the air tube “B”.
4) Undo screw “C” from the coil connector.
5) Undo screws “D” and then pull out the solenoid
6) Fit the new solenoid valve to the sub-base and fix it in place with the screws “D” (there is only one
way round to fit it).
7) Tighten screw “C” on the coil connector.
8) Connect the air tube “B”.
9) Fit and secure the bottom door of the cabinet (if it was previously removed).
10) Release the pneumatic master switch and set it to “I”, remove the padlock from the main switch, then
restore power to the machine using the same switch.
11) Carry out a few trial runs to check.

- Turn the 4 adjusters ‘E’ (2 for each end of the belt) fully home (inwards) undoing the fixing screws ‘E1’,
then turn inwards the relative belt support plates ‘F’ by undoing fixing screw (Fig. 10-28).
- In this way the tension has been slackened off the belt which can now be removed by pulling it out carefully.
- Remove the screw adjusters for the belt and fit them into the new one (if the old one is being replaced)
- Fit the new belt (or the same one once it has been cleaned) making sure the space between the 2 sides
is roughly equal (N.B. The belt has an arrow that shows the direction of rotation - see Fig. 10-29).
- Fit chips scraper ‘A’ using the 2 fixing screws, the 4 bottom guide rollers ‘B’ using the relative fixing screws
and spacer ‘C’ with the relative guide walls ‘D’ using the fixing screws (Fig. 10-27).
- To tension the belt, turn the 4 belt support plates ‘F’ outwards, then bring the 4 adjusters ‘E’ up to the relative
plates using the 2 fixing screws ‘E1’ (Fig. 10-29).
N.B. To tension the belt correctly, it is best to move it with a “makeshift” connection to the motor cables
(an “expert” electrician should be used).
- “Fine” tensioning is done using the 4 screws that fix the support plates as shown in Fig. 10-30.
- As well as the belt being tensioned correctly, to make sure it is also centred (away from the sides), turn
screw adjuster ‘G’ (Fig. 10-31).
- Once the belt has been tensioned and centred correctly, tighten all the fixing screws, adjusters and support
plates, then the “makeshift” connection to the motor cables can be eliminated.
- The conveyor belt can now be fitted to the base of the machine following the dismantling operations in reverse
order.
- Unlock the pneumatic master switch and turn it to “I” then turn the main switch to “I”.
- Carry out a few test runs (especially to make sure the direction of rotation is correct).

1 AVVERTENZE GENERALI

ZONE A RISCHIO RESIDUO - CONCLUSIONI
La BLITZ ALVA, secondo quanto descritto nei paragrafi “ZONE A RISCHIO RESIDUO 1-2” potrebbe trovarsi
come schematizzato in Fig. 04-08:
1 - Rulliera testa fissa
mobile (posizionata come in Fig. 04-08)

peso ed all’ingombro.
punto “A” (Fig. 05-01/05-02).
abbaglianti fastidiosi, nè effetti stroboscopici (riflessi-riverberi) pericolosi dovuti all’illuminazione presente

FASE 2
sopra all’ultimo piede ed agendo sui registri DX ant. e post.

5.6 MONTAGGIO E ALLINEAMENTO RULLIERA TESTA MOBILE
(Fig. 05-28).

14
BLITZ ALVA 500 M I
in funzione).
acustico-luminosi in funzione).
POSIZIONAMENTO in allontanamento avviene invece sempre a velocità normale.
- Fig. 06-01.

I BLITZ ALVA 500 M
Operazioni preliminari
a terra.
dallo stesso interruttore differenziale.
16
BLITZ ALVA 500 M I
8 OPERAZIONI PER L’AVVIAMENTO E LA LAVORAZIONE (FIG. 08-01)
ATTENZIONE!
17
I BLITZ ALVA 500 M
9 REGOLAZIONI
18
BLITZ ALVA 500 M I
9.4 INCLINAZIONE TESTA (Testa fissa - testa mobile)
tende a raddrizzarle.

I BLITZ ALVA 500 M

CHIUSURA MORSE/TAGLIO e TAGLIO.
arrestati). I segnalatori sulle teste si spengono.

I BLITZ ALVA 500 M
in Fig. 09-12.
"A" - Fig. 09-13.
Effettuare l'allacciamento pneumatico collegando il tubo "B" - Fig. 09-13 come indicato in figura.

ATTENZIONE - IMPORTANTE
denti, come illustrato in Fig. 10-09.
pneumatico e ruotarlo in posizione “I”.
Eseguire alcune prove di rotazione della lama.
25
I BLITZ ALVA 500 M
26
BLITZ ALVA 500 M I
10.8 SOSTITUZIONE CILINDRO MORSA ORIZZONTALE
occorre sostituirlo.
27
I BLITZ ALVA 500 M
- Ruotare e lucchettare il sezionatore pneumatico in posizione “0” e ruotare l'interruttore generale (400V -
trifase) in posizione “0”.
