KEEPING OUR SCHOOL HEALTHY WITHOUT CONSUMING DRUGS

Assalamualaikum Wr.Wb,
First of all, allow me to introduce myself. I am ………. and today I am standing here to deliver a
speech about Keeping Our School Healthy Without Consuming Drugs. To start to this speech, I
would like to say thanks to Allah SWT and Prophet Muhammad SAW for the guidance in this life.
Allow me to brief you about the contents of my speech; First of all, I will tell you about the meaning
of drugs, secondly, I will tell about the effects of consuming drugs specifically for illegal drugs.
Thirdly, how to get away from the illegal drugs.

I would like to start this speech with the definition of the drugs. By definition, Drugs are chemicals
that affect the body and brain. Drugs that use for treats or prevents the symptoms of disease are
called medicinal drugs. This kind of drugs are legal and are commonly developed by government or
private for improving human health. On the other hand, there are drugs that illegally developed and
cause harm to the human body and health. All drugs like cocaine, heroin, marijuana, shabu,
ecstasy, and others that are used not for medical purpose are illegal drugs.

What are the effects of consuming illegal drugs? This is my second point of my speech. There are
two main problems in consuming and being addicted to the illegal drugs, which are mental health
and physical health. A person who is addicted by the illegal drugs will affect anxiety, insomnia,
depression and loss of memory. Additionally, the physical effect of this illegal drugs are loss of
weight, weak physically, headache, etc. Those effect will reduce productivity and health. All student
in Indonesia should avoid this illegal drugs, especially for us as moslems those are HARAM. Those
illegal drugs will destroy our future life. We have to say no to drugs. We have to see and achieve our
bright future. Allah asks us to be a beneficial person for others. Allah creates us for doing all good
deeds. Again, it means we have to say no to drugs.

So, how to get away from the illegal drugs. It is fact that in our age as teenager, our minds are
planted in curiosity. If we are not careful, we can get trapped in illegal drugs and ruin our future. In
order to avoid that, I give some thoughts to avoid the drugs as a student. (1) We have to remember
at any time that Allah creates us for a best reason which is creating benefit for ourselves and others.
In order to create and give benefit, we have to study or seek for knowledge, to work, and to share.
We are students and we have to study hard in preparing our future. So, we say no to drugs; (2) We
have to build constructive partnership with our friends in studying. We have to build good
environment in school with no bullying, no fighting, no harming others. We have to prove that school
is a place for bright generation for bright future; and (3) We have to build great respect to parents,
teachers, friends, and also properties. This is part of developing a noble character as a student and
future generation.

Finally, life is a battle. We are going to win the battle if we as a student do whatever good to do for
our future, studying hard, using time wisely, developing good friendship, strengthening respects and
increasing good behavior. Again, we have to avoid the drugs because it will ruin our life. Let’s get
together achieving our future goals by guidance of Allah SWT and avoid the illegal drugs. This is all
of my speech. Thanks for all attention, appreciation and the time for listening my speech. May Allah
guide us to the straight path all the time. SAY NO TO DRUGS.
