Lab Guidance/Performance Protocol Update / Manual Update

SUBJECT: Solar Light Testing Protocol Update

Updates attached to the solar testing program for pathway and spot lights highlighted in Red.
This protocol is specific to D16/Lawn and Garden at this time.

The updated requirements will be evaluated during Pre-Production, Production, and In-Store testing.
No grace period will be granted for testing to the updated requirements on the new items being submitted after
June 1. All items in stores are exempt from this testing for the remainder of this year.
Results will be recorded as “Data Only” for instore testing until 01/01/2020.
Failure to meet the requirements at in-store testing after 01/01/2020 will result in the issuance of a failing test
report. All path light and spot light items submitted for pre-production or production items starting 06/01/2019
will be evaluated to the new protocol and are subject to failure if they do not meet the requirement.

Vendors: Please update your records to reflect these changes.
Labs: Please update your records and worksheets to reflect these changes.
Labs: Please distribute this notice to the appropriate vendor distribution list.
Walmart has authorized our approved test laboratories to solicit required information on Walmart’s behalf in an
effort to assure compliance and minimize any disruption to our supply chain.
