General guidelines for preparation of Project Work based on


Research Methodology

Last day to Submit Rough Draft – February 28, 2023

 Each of the student has to undertake a Project individually under the supervision of
a teacher-guide.
 The project report shall be prepared as per the broad guidelines given below:
 Font type: Times New Roman
 Font size: 12-For content, 14-for Title
 Line Space : 1.5-for content and 1-for in table work
 Paper Size: A4
 Margin (inches) : in Left-1.5 inches, Up-Down-Right-1inch
 The Project Report shall be bounded. (Black Hard Bound) – 2 copies to be
made
 The project report should be minimum 80 pages – Page number to start at
Chapter 1 and end at Chapter 5. For internship based project, minimum
pages should be 50.
 Page number not to be inserted on bibliography, appendix, and title pages.
 Page Numbers to be inserted at the bottom centre of the Page.
 Tables, graphs and charts wherever inserted should have a proper title and
number.
 Text Alignment - Entire Text to be Justified
 Chapter No. and Name – Centre Alignment
 Minimum 20 Reviews to be included for Literature Review Chapter.
 While searching for articles, URL of the website to be copied on a separate
word file so that Bibliography could be compiled easily.
Structure of Project work

 Title Pages

 Chapter No. 1: Introduction


In this chapter Selection and relevance of the problem, historical background of the
problem, brief profile of the study area, definition/s of related aspects, characteristics,
different concepts pertaining to the problem etc can be incorporated by the learner.

 Chapter No. 2: Research Methodology


This chapter will include following details
2.1 – Title
2.2 – Objectives of the Study
2.3 - Scope/Significance of the Study
2.4 – Hypothesis of the Study (if any)
2.5 Methods of Data Collection
2.5.1 – Primary Data Collection (Should include population, sample size, sampling
method, types of questions)
2.5.2 – Secondary Data Collection
2.6 Techniques of Data Analysis
2.7 Limitations of the Study

 Chapter No. 3: Literature Review


This chapter will provide information about studies done on the respective issue. This
would specify how the study undertaken is relevant and contribute for value addition
in information/ knowledge/ application of study area which ultimately helps the
learner to undertake further study on same issue. The reviews are to be arranged in
chronological order. Minimum 20 Reviews to be incorporated.

 Chapter No. 4: Data Analysis and Interpretation


This chapter is the core part of the study. The analysis pertaining to collected data will
be done by the learner. The application of selected tools or techniques will be used to
arrive at findings. In this, table of information, presentation of graphs/charts etc.
can be provided with interpretation by the learner.

 Chapter No. 5: Conclusions and Suggestions


In this chapter of project work, findings of work will be covered and suggestion will
be enlisted to validate the objectives and hypotheses.
