Parable of The Lost Sheep
Parable of The Lost Sheep
Parable of The Lost Sheep
15 Now the tax collectors and sinners were all gathering around to hear Jesus. 2 But the
Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, “This man welcomes sinners and eats
with them.”
3
Then Jesus told them this parable: 4 “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and
loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the
lost sheep until he finds it? 5 And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his
shoulders 6 and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says,
‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ 7 I tell you that in the same way there will
be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine
righteous persons who do not need to repent.
Points:
With the grace of God, we are renewed. Let’s do our best to share His love with others. To help those
lost to find their way
For the Lord your God is gracious and compassionate. He will not turn
his face from you if you return to him. 2 Chronicles 30:9b
Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out,
that times of refreshing may come from the Lord. – Acts 3:19
2 Corinthians 4:16-18 “So we do not lose heart. Though our outer self is wasting away, our inner
self is being renewed day by day. For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an
eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to
the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are
unseen are eternal.”
Amazing grace how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I'm found
Was blind but now I see
It was grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed
Through many dangers, toils, and snares
I have already come
This grace that brought me safe thus far
And grace will lead me home
When we've been here ten thousand years
Bright, shining as the sun
We've no less days to sing God's praise
Than when we first begun
Amazing grace how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I'm found
Was blind but now I see
