CAMPSITE RESETTING VILLAGERS

● REQUIRES STUPID amounts of TT, I am living my best life in 2021

picking weeds and emptying out my 300 letters from mom and the bank
of tom nook.
● DOES NOT REQUIRE EMPTY PLOTS: You can do this at full capacity (10
villagers) with no issue. Your camper will just ask to kick someone else
off, which you can also reset for to change.
● Stack your chances by having every personality type except the one
you want. The campsite will spew those at you, my personal rate was
more than 50% smug (27/42 resets) while looking for raymond.
○ Personal experience: 8-9 day cycles, occasionally jumped to 15-ish
day cycles when there was an event going on the middle week or I
was lower down my list.
● Because of how time consuming this is, I’d only do it for hardcore
dreamie villagers that do not have an amiibo or are stupid expensive on
trading sites (or even not, since trading is so bugged right now). Good
examples of this are Audie and Raymond. I’d also suggest doing it early,
since if your dreamie list is skewed in personality types it’ll be hard to get
a full set of personalities in to set up the campsite and you’ll be resetting
a lot to get them to kick the right person out. I spoke with Cleo for over
an hour to get her to move in and stop trying to kick a dreamie out, and I
only had 3/10 dreamies at that time.
● You can get kind of messed up by fishing and bug catching competitions
around summer, but what can you do but power through it haha.
○ On this note, the first time around the seasons Isabelle will give
you a DIY recipe once you hit Spring/Summer/Winter/Fall, you
might need to let her do this, load in, and save. It’s not confirmed
yet though.
● I recommend this method because as of right now (04/18/2020 | ver.
1.1.4a) it is GUARANTEED to get you who you are looking for if you
do it for long enough. I’ve personally done 400+ Nook Islands and
gotten many repeats, a friend did 700+ before she got Raymond,
someone on the original reddit thread mentioned going through 2k tickets
with no Raymond. Do not do this. It is madness.
○ RE:Trading - So far from my experience, anything that shoves
a villager into boxes same-day will glitch them. I’ve had this
done to me for both naturally spawned Campsite villagers and
 a villager into boxes same-day will glitch them. I’ve had this
done to me for both naturally spawned Campsite villagers and
Amiibo Campsite villagers, and lost both Fauna and Apollo I was
holding for a friend this way. The only surefire ‘safe’ way I’ve had to
trade villagers is to TT them out/get them to have a bubble and ask
to move out themselves, and they will be in boxes the next
day with Isabelle announcing that they are moving. Make sure
to talk to them twice if you are the one picking a villager up to see if
they’re glitched and offer to move in twice. Their dialog SHOULD
change to ‘oh, I’m so excited to be your neighbor/move to ___!’ or
some variation if you got them.
○ I’ve personally never seen a repeat with the campsite resetting
method and nor have any of the others on the original thread when
they posted their results, but our sample size is pretty small so if
you do get one pls… tell me haha…
● ONLY TRAVEL FORWARD, IF YOU TRAVEL BACKWARDS for whatever
reason it RESETS THE LIST and you can get repeats!!!

RESETTING VILLAGERS:
1. First off, PLEASE try to stack the personality types in your favor. I
cannot express how painful this will be if you do not. I did 42 resets for
Raymond and I felt my soul leave my body at how long the loading
screens are. You want every personality type EXCEPT the one that you
have.
a. I started off without a Peppy and Snooty and WITH a Smug
(mandatory first camper move in), and Peppy and Snooty were the
first two types that they gave to me! So I kicked off my Smug with
my Snooty and moved the Peppy in. The campsite will help you, you
don’t need for it to be perfect before you even start.
2. TT forward 1 day at a time until Isabelle mentions that you have a
visitor at the campsite. You don’t necessarily need to load in all the way
and save at this point, just let her talk and if she says ‘no
announcements...oh!’ or some other variation, you can just force quit the
game and TT forward again.
3. Once you have a camper, check who it is, and SAVE.
a. Obviously if it’s someone you want to keep, speak to them (jump
down to RESETTING REPLACEMENTS.)
4. TT forward 7 days, load ALL THE WAY IN, SAVE. This day never has a
camper, but you still need to load in and save. I personally felt like I had
better luck if I did something this day like check mail or buy from nook’s,
but it’s not confirmed.
5. TT one day at a time, like #2. Again, you don’t need to load all the way
in or save at this step, just check her announcements to see if someone is
there.
6. Repeat until you get someone you want!
IN SUMMARY, STEPS w/o commentary:
1. CAMPSITE VILLAGER, yay! Check it, SAVE.
2. TT forward 7 days, load in, SAVE.
3. TT forward 1 day, check Isabelle’s announcements- if she doesn’t go
“Now for today’s announcements… we have a visitor staying at the
campsite!” just force quit and TT forward another day without saving.
4. ??? REPEAT until profit!

RESETTING REPLACEMENTS:
1. So you got someone you want, great! First things first, talk to them
once, and SAVE.
2. Load back in, and talk to them again! In my experience, there are more
or less 4 dialog options:
a. They say some random dialog about your town or themselves.
b. They want to play a card game for an item, usually clothes but
can be furniture. Feel free to tell them no for this, it’s time
consuming.
c. They talk about wanting to move to your town, but once you offer
they decline.
d. They want to play a card game for MOVING IN.
3. You really have no choice but to talk to them until they offer you D, and
even then the card game is random. They will shuffle cards and either ask
you to guess if it’s RED or BLACK (50/50) or what SUIT OF CARDS it is
(25%...)
a. It’s ok to lose, you can just talk to them until they offer again.
b. If you lose enough times in a row, they will just pity move in
because ‘you want them so much’ lol. For me this was after I lost
over 5 times, so I think that’s the limit? I’ve only had to do this
once though thank god.
4. After they agree to move in, they will talk to resident services… but oh
no! They said the Island is too full. Hey, can they talk to someone else
about moving out?
5. At this point they will name a random villager they want to replace. This
is why you need to save early, as well as why it’s better to do this method
early so their chances of asking for someone you don’t mind parting with
is higher.
a. If they name someone you want to KEEP on the island, force quit
the game before the conversation ends and reload in. Do steps 2-4
again. Cry a little bit.
6. If they name someone you’re fine with leaving, congrats! You got them
in! Do a little happy dance, go talk to the villager that will be leaving
(since they’ll be in boxes already), save the game, etc.

Here is my personal reset data when I tried for Raymond so you can have a
reference range for how long it took me/how long between each camper it took.
I forgot to put down dates at the beginning, but the rest are in there!

I was a little unlucky with having to go through 27/35 smugs first, but some
others CAMPSITE RESETTING
have gotten him …reset or so.

TROUBLESHOOTING:
1. CAMPSITE VILLAGERS AREN’T SPAWNING FOR ME?
a. This can happen sometimes! I personally started to use the
campsite to try and get Blanche after I got Raymond, and I went
through a whole month of no campers. Sometimes (even with TT-
ing villagers out) the method just won’t work, and I found that
talking to everyone in your island once will usually sort things
out- just do that, save, and continue forward TT-ing until you find
someone. I did this when it stopped and I got a camper the next
day. Apparently this method also works for TT-ing villagers out if
you don’t get a bubble after a while. Or you can alsooo
b. Time skip forward one year. I HAVE NOT DONE THIS
PERSONALLY, so I can’t comment on it or recommend it, but
several comments on the original thread mentioned doing this to fix
it, so!
