Co-curricular Activities
Assembly
Please observe assembly (one per week) and share your views on this activity. You can also
conduct assembly (if school allows you).
In my point of view, morning assemblies are a must thing to begin the day
with. Every day, all students assemble at the assembly hall or a ground and
begin the day with a prayer.
General news reading and instructions are followed past the prayer.
Sometimes, students even make a speech on the important topics and then
the principal takes over the charge of the assembly meeting.
1) Using video clips is a great way to keep things fresh. There are a huge
number of short films online that can provide ideal starting points for
assembly discussions. I would like to use these online resources,
supporting particular themes.
2) Music can form an integral part of each session. Children will listen
and respond to a wide variety of musical genres. They articulate their
emotional response to music. I will add different live music pieces
during the assembly.
3) I will add exercise in the assembly. I will call the students earlier for
the morning assembly and have a set of exercise to refresh their body
and mind. Exercise is a must for every student. Morning workouts
enhances metabolism. Morning exercise improves your physical and
mental energy. Early morning workouts help you develop strong self-
discipline.
Recess Duty
Observe this activity (one per week) in school and record your observations against each
statement.
Cafeteria
Students were seated in the cafeteria according to their grade levels. Students who were near
the Lunch station were all in a queue.
The cafeteria staff was serving salad, rice, raita, sweet dish and juice one by one very vigilantly
catering to 350 students of secondary section.
Students spent first fifteen minutes in taking lunch. I observed a pleasant environment of
cafeteria where all students were enjoying chit chat and lunch.
After lunch students moved to the football ground and basketball court for playing. There P.E.
teachers were very vigilant. They distributed the sports equipment to students and monitored
the students who were peacefully enjoying basket ball, cricket and football games.
Teachers on Duty:
All teachers on duty both In side and outside the cafeteria were keeping a close check on the
students. They reach to students quickly who were requiring help
What other non-teaching activities you perform during teaching practice? (e.g. Sports Day,
Bazm-e-Adab, Fun Fair, Parents-Teacher meeting, Debates etc)

2) Organizing Milad-Un-Nabi (p.b.u.h) for secondary section.
3) Organizing Bonfire for students and staff.
4) Helping in morning assembly as a subject support teacher with the class teacher of grade
