Conclusion
The research group will be conducting a research study regarding the potential of eggshells
and algae in purifying wastewater from canals. They determined the viability of the study by
considering four factors; the availability of materials, the equipment, the facilities needed to conduct
the research, and the expertise.

For the needed materials, the group will primarily use four materials. The first are eggshells,
which will be obtained from cooking eggs. Secondly, green algae (Chlorophyta) will also be used,
obtained from nearby bodies of water, such as rivers and canals. The researchers will also gather
wastewater from cannals. The chemicals the research group will use (hexane, methanol, and
sodium hydroxide) will be obtained from the laboratory, where the testing will be conducted.

For the equipment, the glassware will be utilized at either De La Salle University or Adamson
University. Additionally, the researchers will perform Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy that will prove
the effectiveness of eggshells and green algae in the research study.

Regarding the facilities, the first part of the experiment, which is the incorporation of the
materials for the study, will be conducted in the home of one of the researchers, Ms. Balintec.
Afterward, the central part of the experiment, which is testing the efficacy of green algae and
eggshells in filtering wastewater, will be conducted in a laboratory. Although the final laboratory
facility has not yet been determined, the group has already emailed two universities: Adamson
University and De La Salle University, asking permission to use their laboratories.

For the expertise, two research experts, Mrs. Corazon Bautista and Dr. Randy Estigoy are
currently involved in the study. The group consulted Mrs. Bautista for the approval of the research
title, while Dr. Estigoy will provide additional advice to the research group.

Overall, based on the status of the four factors concerned in the study, the research is declared
feasible within the given time.
