RE assignment St George, Englands patron saint

Day 1 Upon arriving at the city of Silene today, I immediately realised the silence, silence bred of fear and as I rode through the town the citizens were mourning some unsung youth, taken from them in his prime. As I stopped to rest, the cities king told me to be gone, that my presence here was a portent of doom. I asked the king, why is it your people cower, and he banished me from the city, and as I left I asked the guard why the town mourns, and he replied, sir, we are plagued by a dragon. Day2 I left the city, finding shelter in nearby caves as I plotted my return to banish the dragon rampaging across the land. The next day I located a nearby village, near a river and set up camp next to the river awaiting signals from the villagers on the dragons arrival. When the dragon arrived I was horrified to see the king of Silene sacrificing his own people to the great beast to save his own hide. I left the village with murder on my mind when, as I crossed into the city, a blinding light sent me to the floor and the lord strengthened my resolve. Day 3 During my confrontation with the lord, he showed me how I was to go about bringing stability. He told me that I must slay the dragon before more people are afflicted by its savagery and brutality. The lord told me a period of resting and respite was neaded and I headed his every word, following his commands In an attempt to prepare to slay the beast. The dragon would be no easy foe, so I needed to know everything about it, so I ventured back into the city to confront the king, and acquire as much information as possible about the dragon. Day 4 When I met the king I found him struck with grief, as his only daughter had been chosen as a sacrifice for the beast, The King begged me to slay the beast, and after he informed me of its whereabouts, I pursued it through the desert, until I came to a clearing near the river, where I confronted the beast as it

closed on its prey. I struck the beast with a blow that would have felled any mortal creature, but the dragon pressed on, and signing the cross a charge it once more. Day 5 Yesterdays confrontation with the dragon ended with me paralysing the creature with a thrust to its head. As I returned with the kings daughter I brought the wounded creature with me, across the land and into the city. When I arrived the king praised the heavens and thanked me for my deed, and said I must be chosen of the gods to posses such great skill, I replied the Lord gives what is necessary. As the beast writhes in agony I put it out of its misery and turn to leave the city, hailed as the great saviour. Day6 I have left Silene and are on the way to England. As I travel, I hear news of the city converting to the lords faith and spreading the good news through out Libya. These pass few days have been the most eventful of my life, and I fear I may not be able to make it back to England in one piece, but I most bring news to the king, and so with a spring in my step and a prayer in my heart, I press on back to the great founding land by land and sea. Day 7 I have arrived in England, and was greated by her majesty upon arrival and declared ready for knighthood, but I renounce my duties duties as a knight to become a preacher of the good news after my divine experience with the lord. The royal court is in debate of this turn of events, and the church welcomes me with open arms. I am to join the ranks of the brotherhood, and be announced the patron saint of England, guardian and founder of the red cross of England, the sign of which strenghted my resolve, allowing me to slay the dragon and bring Silene under the Catholic faith, all in the Lords name.
