How do you plan to implement this lesson and integrate the technology? Check all that apply:

☐ Teacher-led: There is no student voice and choice in the activities. Students are guided by
teacher direction and expectations. Learning activities are assigned to the
student and mostly practice based.

X Student-Led: Students are given voice and choice in the activities. They may select the topic
of learning and/or determine the tool they will use to meet the learning goal. The
teacher facilitates the learning as the students direct their own learning processes.

☐ Problem-based and/or Publishable: Students are solving problems
and completing projects to demonstrate their learning. Additionally, the projects can be shared
outside of the classroom. (Note: This objective could be reached by displaying the project on the
school’s morning newscast, posting the project to the classroom blog, presenting it to another
class, or publishing via an outside source.)

Lesson idea implementation:

Students will click on the click to Padlet, where the whole lesson will go in steps
Teacher will start by asking students activating questions about the water cycle. “What do you know
about the water cycle?” They will then watch a video speaking about the water cycle.
I will ask three guided questions.
Next students will play a water cycle game

After playing the game students will go on Quizziz and complete an assessment on the water cycle
Last students will create their own water cycle poster.

Managing student learning:

Students will use their laptops to complete the whole lesson embedded in Padlet which is accessible
to all students and provides students with different engaging tools that will help them learn about
the water cycle. Within the lesson, there are activities where students can engage with their peers,
and when it is time to create their poster after completing activities and assessment.

Universal Design for Learning (UDL): Padlet is a platform in which you can create single or multiple
walls that are able to house all the posts you want to share. It is also collaborative for students to
comment on the teacher’s post, this includes audio, video, screencasts, screenshots, and drawings.

Reflective Practice:
This tool is helpful for students because it is an interactive learning experience, and it keeps students
engaged. Unlike traditional learning, there are many papers to keep up with and students may lose
attention span after a while.
