Thesis statement

Digital devices should be allowed in high school classroom

Title

The Use of Digital Devices as Scholar Instruments in High School for ESL learners

Digital devices are useful for all tasks in our lives. As (Peter, 2003) mentions in his journal

Personal digital assistants (PDAs) are a reasonably new and emerging technology that is

rapidly evolving, although their use as an educational tool or assistive technology has only

just started. many people are surprised to see the technology is getting closer to us. This

instrument works as a complement for optimal educational purposes. Should be allowed to

use digital devices in classrooms. I am delighted to provide a foreword for this publication

as it brings

First, digital devices are useful to reinforce lessons from teachers, professors or tutors.

Many times, the teachings are a bit ambiguous due to difficulty in transmitting them to the

students. But with the use of digital devices such as medical topics, translations, sea world

topic, and many others. It helps to relay on examples or research previously done by other

ones.
Second, the great world powers are the ones that have the best command of the

technological word. In those countries in high school, students have access to all kind of

technology that the campus has. As (Molnar, 2009) mentioned his work students may learn

and practice in different multimedia learning environments and learn and teach different

teaching methods. Some examples are cellphones, tablets, laptops and many others. All

these digital devices are inside of classrooms and labs available for all the students.

Finally, the future of humanity in a medium term is to unify a single language and that is

the case of English language. More and more educational centers are investing in bilingual

education. Panama is an example of this. For student to become familiar with the English

lexicon, the ideal situation should be to access to their digital devices and browse the

different apps that allow them to translate unknown words.

While its true, technology was created to help people in daily tasks. In fact, it helps people

in a great way but at the same time it made them dependent on it. As (Pattermann, Schlögl,

& Canham , 2019) mentioned Dealing with students’ use of digital devices and the

resulting interruptions and distractions in university classrooms has become part of the

daily challenges for teaching faculty in higher education. This causes them to limit their

potential and critical thinking. High school students are the ones who should have the most

reasoning, they could be professionals in different sciences in a soon future.

In conclusion, technology is a coin which has two sides. One of them show to people all the

benefits that we can get from the usage of digital devices. For example, mobile phones

allow to people has a complemented learning process. Some activities as watching

documentaries, revising research could not be possible without technology resources.
