Verb Conjugations
The following charts can be used to conjugate any verb found in the Vocabulary and Phrases section of this book. However, the
charts do not show the conjugation of every verb in the Spanish language; some very infrequent forms have been omitted.
Notes
• Past Subjunctive
In all cases, these past subjunctive endings... ...can be replaced by these past subjunctive endings:
-ra -´ramos -se -´semos
-ras -rais -ses -seis
-ra -ran -se -sen
• Imperative
Imperative conjugations in Spanish are only found in the tú and vosotros forms for positive commands. Affirmative
commands for nosotros, usted, and ustedes, as well as all negative commands, use present subjunctive forms.
• Compound Forms
These tables do not give the compound conjugations. To learn about conjugating in these forms, see the lessons “Perfect and
Past Participles” and “Progressive and Present Participle.” The two verbs used for compound tenses, haber and estar, are
included in these tables. Haber follows conjugation [E19], and estar follows conjugation [A15].
