    Winter Springs City Manager Shawn Boyle announces retirement

    WINTER SPRINGS, FL- After 13 years with the City of Winter Springs, City Manager
    Shawn Boyle announced that he would be retiring his position effective
    immediately.

    The city commission voted to accept the retirement at Monday night’s city
    commission meeting.

    With Boyle’s retirement, City engineer Phil Hursh will serve as interim city manager
    until the city hires a replacement.

    Boyle, previously the City's Finance & Administrative Services Director, was named
    City manager in October 2019.

    In his tenure as City Manager, Boyle has seen the city through the COVID-19
    pandemic, two hurricanes, and several development projects and infrastructure
    upgrades.

    With his retirement, Boyle said he looks forward to spending time with his wife Tina
    and three children.
