Our teacher has identified that we as learners have problems in summary writing,
we fail to write a proper summary
2) Five guidelines on how to write a summary are:
a) Read text
b) Search for the most important concepts and fundamental points of the passage
or story.
c) Organize the main ideas
d) Introduction
e) Main body paragraphs
f) Conclusion paragraph
g) Write number of words and it should not be more than eighty words and not less
than seventy words.
3) Philani screamed in agony as he twisted and turned on the dusty ground,
clutching his leg. The tree shaded him from the scotching sun and only sounds
was his pain filled shouts.
A boy the size of Philani should not have risked swinging on it. Mrs. Phiri the
neighbor appeared over the hedge and she saw Philani screaming. She quickly
telephoned his mother who came running and they took him to the hospital.
