1. Does the creator of the cartoon think that the United States should be involved in the conflict
between Cuba and Spain?

The creator, obviously thinks that America should be involved in the conflict, as the cartoon shows
people from cuba being happy for independence, even if it isn’t for them, so they appeal to get
independence for those countries also.

2. Based on what you learned in the lesson, what is the cartoon saying about the war?

We can see the moment of happiness of the 4th of July, when the american independence was
achieved.

3. After seeing this cartoon, how would you feel about the war as an American?

I think I would be proud of being able to help people that is in a situation in which I was in the past,
and happy because the help was useful as they got their independence
