I.INTRODUCTION
In dancing, it is very important that you have the ability to examine a particular
movement, to be able to identify which joints are involved in that movements and what
are the muscle responsible for bringing about that movements is a crucial skills that
students need to develop. Being able to perform these types of movement analysis will
help our ability to prescribe exercise and to understand injury.

When doing a certain dance movement, it is very important to connect your mind
and body in order to create a more complex dance moves that are called dance
patterns, figures, movements or dance variations. And in creating a more complex
dances moves, we must know first that it requires energy, muscles strength and etc.
that’s it is very extremely important for us to understand what are the muscles and
structures of our body responsible for bringing that movements.
II. ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND DEDICATION

I dedicate this to my dance crew and friends who helped me to finish my final
requirements for this subject SPE-3 The Physiology of Exercise and Physical activity.
Also, I dedicate this to my classmates who extended their support while I’m doing this
work. And lastly, I humbly dedicate this to my family who loved me so much and who
always give their undying support, not only just in spiritual, moral and physical but also
in financial support.

I would like to express my special thanks of gratitude to my SPE-3 instructor Ms.

Jennifer A. Tabaranza who made this work possible, thank you the knowledge guidance
and support in order to complete this final requirement.

Above all, I dedicate this to Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Thank you for
giving me wisdom, strength, support and knowledge in exploring things, and for the
guidance in helping me to surpass all the trials that I encountered and for giving me
determination to pursue my study and to make this task possible.

IV. MOVEMENT ANALYSIS

In dancing, it is very important to examine the different types of muscles
joints that are involved while performing a certain kind of movements. In my dance
presentations, the styles and genre that I used together with my crew is called Hip-hop.
Hip-hop is much more than simply a way of moving to hip-hop music. But hip-hop is a
lifestyle that includes its own language, music, and fashion, as well as dance.

During our dance exhibition, there are different muscles involved while we
execute different kind of movements. And here are the three essential moves that we
use in our dance routine.

First is the popping moves, popping is consists of a quickly contracting

and relaxing of your muscles, that causing a jerk in your body. These jerks are known
as pops or hits. We use popping to perform with other dance moves and poses it to the
beat of the music. The second essential move that we use is the locking. Locking
involves a series of quick movements, each followed by locking into another position,
and then holding the last position for a few seconds. The hips and the legs usually
remain in a relaxed position while the movements of the arms and hands are more
distinct and exact. Movements are big and coordinate closely with the beats of the
music. These locking has a bet of a comedic flair and is usually performed to funk or
soul music. And the last essential move that we use in the dance routine is called
boogaloo. Boogaloo is a very loose movements, mostly using the hips and legs.
Boogaloo seems to give the illusion that the dancer has no bones. This style is closely
related to popping, with dancers involved in rolling the hips, knees, legs, and head.

These three essential styles of dance moves that we use in the routine is
also use these five major types of movements in which our arms and some body parts
are involved. These are the circumduction, flexion, extension, abduction, and adduction.
The circumduction is refers to a movements that part in a circular direction. While the
flexion brings the two body parts closer to each other. Then the extension is refers to a
kind of movements that increases the space between to body parts.
The abduction is refers to a moving body parts away from the center of the body.
Lastly is the adduction. Adduction is the moving of the body part towards the center of
your body. These five types of movements ere all been used in the dance that I’ve
presented.
V. STRUCTURE OF THE SPECIFIC BODY PART (INCLUDING OTHER PARTS OF
YOUR BODY THAT IS COONECTED WITH YOUR CHOICE OF MOVEMENT
ANALYSIS) THAT IS USEFUL IN YOUR DANCE PRESENTATION.
