    Port What is it/What is it used for?

    USB USB, or Universal Serial Bus, is used for storing documents, files and
    info on your device.

    HDMI

    A HDMI, or High-Definition Multimedia Interface, is used for


    transferring high definition audio or video by a single cable.

    VGA

    A VGA, or Video Graphics Array, is a display standard that uses analog


    signal technology to transmit video data from a source computer to a
    monitor.

    Memory Card reader

    A memory card reader is used for accessing the data on a memory


    card.

    LAN/Ethernet

    LAN/Ethernet is used for connecting different network components.

    Card slot

    Card slots are used for adding memory to portable computer


    systems.

    DVI

    A DVI, or Digital Visual Interface is used for allowing visual content to


    be displayed on monitors.

    USB-C/Thunderbolt 3
    A USB-C/ Thunderbolt 3 is used for:

    - Charging

    - High speed data transfer

    - connecting to external displays

    - connecting to external GPU’s

    - network connectivity
