The International Policy Dialogue on the Water-Food-Energy Nexus: Higher


Education Partnership Contribution to Linking Research, Policy, and Practices
Towards SDGs 2030 was held successfully on October 13, 2022.

With the leadership of DSSC's Head of International Affairs and Relations Dr.
Della Grace G. Bacaltos and the implementing agencies of Davao del Sur State
College (DSSC), Southern Philippines Agribusiness Marine & Aquatic School of
Technology (SPAMAST), Department of Science and Technology (DOST-XI), and
OCEANA, the forum's aspiration was to facilitate input to help strengthen and
integrate effective implementation to better survive the threats of water, energy, and
food shortage while also increasing resilience in the face of growing global
challenges have been discussed.

The Institute for Study and Development Worldwide (IFSD), Universiti


Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Prince of Songkla University (PSU), Universitas
Sebelas Maret (UNS), and the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural
Organization (UNESCO) have also shared their perspectives on the growing global
population, increased urbanization, changing diets, and economic expansion, all of
which are driving up demand for all three, the Water-Food-Energy.

The two-hour forum was a significant event for everyone who attended
because it addressed issues that are critical to long-term development. They were
given insights and eventually comprehended the long-term effects of the nexus on
the environment and economic growth.
