Direction: Answer the following question and explain briefly. (10 points each)
1. Why is it important for aspiring Medical Transcriptionist like you to familiarize yourself in
different hand tools and equipment?
It's about how you will utilize the technology, knowing the different hand tools
and equipment has a definite impact on your ability to work efficiently, increase
your performance, and increase your salary. When we go back to the old time
wherein a transcription was written thru abbreviated notes as I am familiar with the
so-called steno were in medical secretaries and assistants as dictated by a
physician, let's say that we wanted to be Medical Transcriptionist but we're lacking
with knowing the modern technology and not tried to familiarize with the emerging
modern technologies we cannot keep up to become one, or if we're now an MT
and we're not familiar with the tools a lot of errors may arise that can cause
someone’s life or your own career.

2. Is there a need to use a high-end computer for Medical Transcription? Why?

NO, it does not have to be an expensive or high-end computer model, it is
sufficient that the computer you will use can run the software that you will need as
a Medical Transcriptionist, such as Microsoft Word, you must also have the
necessary tools, such as a mouse, keyboard, and the like, and, most importantly,
you must have high-speed internet access.
